Editorial Reviews
2016 release. After 10 years, four albums and countless global tours as headliners and as participants on can't-miss rock festival bills, and sales of hundreds of thousands of albums, Hellyeah make their biggest and boldest statement yet with their fifth album, Unden!able. The band has risen in the hierarchy of rock and metal bands to elite status and are embarking on an 18 month cycle that will see the perform over 150 shows to 1 million fans. The momentum has been building with each album since the members of Pantera, Mudvayne, and Nothingface first joined forces. They have now had mass radio and video airplay that weekly reaches two million fans across multiple platforms. Unden!able was produced by Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach to name a few).

- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2016Hellyeah returns with Unden!able after their triumphant blast into mainstream sound waves with Blood For Blood!
Hellyeah is a very polarizing band these days. It started as far back as their release of Band of Brothers. A lot of people have an opinion on them, bad and good, luckily it seems a lot more people like them. Even so, according to Chad Gray on their new single 'X' it wouldn't matter anyways. This has always been Hellyeahs outlook, one I can respect. I have enjoyed and followed them since their very first self titled album back in 2007.
Well, lets put it out there, if you haven't liked Hellyeah's previous efforts, you probably won't like this one. Unden!able is heavy, its got thick riffs and monster drums, with dark tones and interesting solo's. While it definitely can sound like a continuation of Blood for Blood, and that's not a bad thing, Hellyeah also switches things up a bit as the songs themselves are varied in sound and style. Hellyeah have kept the metal strong with songs like X, Scratch a Lie, Be Undeniable, Blood Plague, Live or Die, Start a Riot and Grave. Human, Leap of Faith and Love Falls slows down the tempo a bit, but they keep it heavy.
I Don't Care Anymore is the biggest variation in style in which they cover the Phil Collins song. Hellyeah turn it 80s metal and astonishingly Vinnie Paul had a 14 year old audio track of his legendary brother Dimebag Darrell manning guitar for this song in a never released instrumental cover, so guess what? The guitar you hear in the song is Dimebag playing! This cover is awesome and Chad Gray pushes the lyrics to their limits with his voice.
Tom Cat is definitely a riff beast and if I understand it he's the soloist, which I feel he writes some unique solos compared to some guitarists. There is a great solo on Blood Plague that sounds like both guitarists are doing a solo each one after the other. Kyle Sanders(new guy on bass, replacing Bob Zilla) has nice heavy bass riffing and does more than the usual rock/metal bassist does on a typical song. Christian Brady(new 2nd guitarist, taking Greg Tribbetts position)(update also he does some solos on here as well) definitely blends well with Tom and makes a good guitar edition to the band. Vinnie Paul, legendary Pantera drummer, is still rocking the drums. He's got some excellent drum play through out and keeps his playing fresh.
Chad is surprisingly experimenting with different singing voices and tones this time around, though his signature awesome screams and cleans are here, he is playing with some new ways of singing. His lyrics are of course filled with Rage, sorrow and blatant disregard. He also has some sections where he uses some of his old school rap screaming on X and Be Unden!able. There are few metal singers that deliver their emotions and message like Chad Gray does. It's good to hear Chad's original sound, but it's also great to hear him experimenting a bit and keeping it fresh
And that's what Unden!able seems to be all about, keeping Hellyeah heavy metal while also keeping it fresh. I loved Unden!able and definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoyed their past work and loves heavy music.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2016Been on board with this band from the beginning and love everything to date, this outing included! If you're a fan already you've already got this and don't need my 2 cents. However if you have no idea who these guys are and what they mean to the metal community you need to do some homework and order they're past cds! These guys are and unbelievably tight band, fantastic songs, and everyone of them a great player in his own right. I keep hoping for new Mudvayne just to get a bit more of Chad's vocals! Nothing can be said about Vinnie Paul that hasn't already been said, hands down one of the Top 5 all time best metal drummers. The combination of the members of this band fit so well together they can't help but make great music! The Dimebag solo on the Phil Collins remake was a fantastic idea, too cool! Order this cd, crank it loud and do a shot of Blacktooth! HELLYEAH!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2019Love the cd. Case was broken.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2016HELLYEAH's 4th release is, in my opinion, their best ever. I was hooked with their initial self titled album and until this release I liked each additional release but always felt that fell short of the 1st release. To compare it to movies, it was like the Matrix franchise where I loved the first movie and like each additional release less and less.
Unden!able changes all of that. It's a true return to form with catchy hooks, great lyrics etc...that I expected from the band after the first release.
If you were disappointed with Stampede and Band of Brothers as I was (although again they're worth grabbing) know that this release is worth every cent and more. For me I grade everything on a simple questions "If the CD was damaged, lost or stolen would I buy it again?" For me personally this album would definitely be purchased again.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2016Hellyeah hits the nail on the head. A great follow up to Blood for Blood. Songs like "X", "Startariot" and "Human" are obvious fan favorites that immediately catch your attention. However, it's the smaller songs on the album that may surprise you. "Scratch A Lie" was one that really punches you in the gut with its gritty groove. And "Leap of Faith" has shades of several bands, like Korn and Disturbed, with their own Hellyeah twist on it (not to mention the ending solo is flawless). And other songs like "Grave" or even the "I Don't Care Anymore" cover that appease those of you that may not like the other songs on the album. There's a song for everyone here. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2020Absolutely love this CD! Lots of loud, heavy, fast, incredible songs. I am a forty something year old mom of four and I love to play this when I'm alone in the car running errands. I turn it up loud enough to make my ears bleed! My teens hate my music (they have no taste), so the car is the only place I get to enjoy it. Great band, great music...... for all ages, even us old folks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Un album da avere

5.0 out of 5 stars Stimmiges Gesamtpaket
Zumindest was Rythmus und Schlagzeug angeht.
Anspieltipps: Human und Be Undeniable.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best they've ever done, period
Like Hellyeah? Like Metal? Like sacrificing homeless people at the alter on a Thursday night after Wetherspoons Curry Club?
If atleast one of the above applies to you then you should buy this album.
