FANTASTIC, just short and there should be a way to not accidentally finish early before all tasks are complete. I played full game, then read these reviews and wanted to see for myself if you could accidentally finish the game in 4 seconds! Sure ENOUGH! In fact, the developers allow you to finish all puzzles, BEFORE finding the proper clue. Other than that, this is a real point and click, FUN adventure mystery!! If you find you're at the end in only 5 minutes, then you know it's by mistake! Lol
This is a well-made "true" point and click game - meaning no hidden object searches, animal helpers, collectibles to find, cut scenes, or fast travel map. I played another "Mystery" from this developer (Mystery of the Mayan Ruins) and really enjoyed it. There was a slight issue however, when I played this game. Somehow, I was able to solve a puzzle early on without a clue, and I got an inventory item I shouldn't have; I was then able to use said item in another scene, and solved the "mystery" in 10 minutes. The game actually ended and said "the end". I think the developers should set up a safe guard that doesn't allow this to happen. I was able to back up a few scenes, and continue with the game as if this didn't happen, but I couldn't unsee the ending and that spoiled the fun (so to speak....there is nothing fun about the story).
I still recommend this game, as it requires thought, logic, and is just the right amount of difficulty. There is a journal that holds your visual clues and you can refer to it at any time. There are no other hints, and no map, but you can find an online walk-through if you get stuck. The game is not very long, (is very short if you solve that first puzzle!), but for $1.04, you get your money's worth.
The graphics and music are good, and room scenes are realistic. I had no technical issues playing on kindle HDX 8.9, but a few of the inventory items are mislabeled, and some active areas are easy to miss. All that being said, there are fewer and fewer games like this available (on Amazon), and I do recommend giving this a try.
Magic frame studios gives us another point and click mystery adventure, much like the mystery of the Button family, and the Mayan ruins. The game is quite short, some items were a little hard to find even on the HD 10, but no other complaints. If they keep pumping the mystery of series out at bargain prices it's good value for a couple hours entertainment and I'll keep buying.
This SUCKED! The clues are sporadic and I finished the game WITHOUT completing all the puzzels, I had 3 or 4 left! It started with a good concept but it wasn't planned well.
I bought this one. After a very long time I eventually found the front door key. Then ...nothing. I looked for a cheat sheet walkthrough......nothing. I then looked on the Magic Frame Studios web site. I usually like to work my way through the walkthroughs. The only help was the You Tube site. I've never worked with this site before, but I decided to give it a go. I was rather pleased with myself when I completed it. After getting to the bottom of the first few clues, you get into the way the designer is working.
I am going to go through the game again to see how much I can remember.
Der Preis ist noch zu hoch! Das Spiel ist viel zu kurz und die Rätsel so einfach zu lösen. Ich bin mehr als nur enttäuscht und ein Stern wäre noch zu viel. Doch leider muss ich ja einen vergeben.
