I went down a bit of a rabbit hole the other night while I was watching a bunch of Billy Strings videos on YouTube. I came across a video that was Billy Strings and Marcus King covering the Doc Watson version of Summertime and from there, I ended up going down a Marcus King rabbit hole and by the end of the night, I bought every single one of his albums that are available on vinyl from Amazon. I've only received two of them so far but, man, they're so good! I'm listening to this one for the first time as I write this and it's just ridiculous. Great songwriting, great playing, and it sounds really rich on vinyl. I highly recommend checking our Marcus King.

In some alternate universe, there is a band that combines the best elements of the Allmans, Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and some heaping helpings of their own special magic, to create music that is exactly as great as you would expect given the influences. That universe is ours. The Marcus King Band have laid down an album of absolute bluesy magic. The best part is that their sound transcends just a single genre or influence, making their music accessible to fans of many styles. Keep your eyes on this band, if you can. They are going to break out huge. Guaranteed!

One of the best albums I have ever purchased. I can't stop listening to it. Amazing to think this kid is only 19. Very looking forward to seeing him play at Mt. Jam. My only gripe is that on the outside cover it said that it came with a free digital download, which mine did not come with. An album this good is worth paying a second time for. Short on funds at the moment, but I will definitely get a digital copy for my ipod, eventually

Honey was the track that made me fall in love with this album... and to finally wait on days on end to get this buddy in the mail and not find “Honey” was a little disheartening.

If I would have known, I may not have bought the record, to be honest. But at the end of the day, it plays great and sounds good! Little warped from the heat but nothing a few book presses can’t fix!

Wow, da geht was. Die Scheibe macht Spaß und läuft bei mir häufig. Manko, das Vinyl ist recht wellig, was auch bei der zweiten Liferung der Fall war. Liegt wohl an der Pressung. Mit einem Schallplattenklemme geht es aber.
