    My whirlpool duet dryer was powering on, but when you pressed start it would just click and not start! After some research I found that it might be this part, and for the price I was really hoping it was! This arrived in 2 days which was great because going with a dryer in a family of 5 for even 1 day is torture! The part number on the part I received was the exact same as the original one we removed and looked identical. It was very simple to access- you only need to remove the lower front cover and then the other metal cover inside ( you are able to give it a good cleaning at the same time!). It literally only takes a few minutes to remove and replace!

    This part obviously fits several different models of various manufacturers clothes dryers. I happened to have a Kenmore Elite that stopped working. The electrical schematic was simple to follow and I quickly diagnosed the problem as this part had failed open causing the motor to not receive power. All I needed was a 1/4" socket, 5/16" socket and a DVOM. A simple jumper to bypass this fuse proved my point. The manufacturer supplied diagram and parts list stated Part Number 3392519.

    I purchased this from GENUINE OEM PLUS. It did not come in OEM packaging nor did it have the OEM markings stamped in like the original part did. The bag did state Whirlpool Part Number 3392519 and the look and fit was identical to the OEM part. It installed correctly and works great. I dinged a star based on the fact I purchased what I thought was an actual Whirlpool (Kenmore Elite) part but received a compatible version. For the price, you can't go wrong.

    Fit our Maytag Epic Z gas dryer perfectly. Dryer burner suddenly stopped igniting. Removed only lower front panel to inspect. Visual check confirmed glow igniter was working but burner was not firing up. Simple continuity check with multimeter showed thermal fuse had failed (open).
    (See YouTube videos for location).
    I did quick confirmation check by electrical taping both fuse leads together to bypass fuse. Burner now fires up. Use the by-pass test ONLY to confirm the fuse is the problem. Do not continue to run your dryer with thermal fuse by-passed as described above. You will not have high temperature protection without the thermal fuse.
    Ordered this fuse. Love the next day delivery I was lucky to get. Install took 10 minutes. Saved $$$$. All is good when appliance repair costs only $7.99.
