This stuff works EXACTLY as advertised. I highly recommend it for pups who tend to have very soft pudding-like stools or even watery stools. It pretty much works by the next day, but you get full effect by the second day. My dog is on thyroid medication, and it gives him stools that I can't even pick up in the doggie bags. This Firm Up stuff really works and it gives him regularly shaped stools, and does not cause constipation. He has no teeth, so I feed him regular dog kibble made soft by heating it in the microwave with water for 40 seconds, the letting it cool and the kibble soaking up the water, and then I sprinkle the Firm Up into the bowl and left it soak up the rest of the water, however much it takes probably a couple tablespoons, and he gets this 3 times per day. Also, I have 2 cats and they get wet food a couple times a day and my pup gets to eat what they leave behind, so I mix in a bit of the Firm Up until the mixture is more of a paste, and he loves to lick the bowls clean. I've never tried to give it to him just mixed with water. He is a 13-pound Pomeranian, 16 years old.

My dog has occasional gastric problems as well as diarrhea since a puppy and I thought things were going better after I discovered doggie Kaopectate for her. However, a few months ago she had anal gland abscess which is not an experience I want to go through again. After reading up about this issue, I decided to try dog pumpkin supplements and it is helpful. I find the cost expensive and after her improvement, I tried using just once a day and that was not enough, she needs it twice daily or stool consistency gets bad again. So good that it's helpful and very simple to add to her food, but the price is not great for my budget. She enjoys this supplement to her food. Thankfully, so far no repeat of the abscess issues. Hopefully, if no abscess repeats over the next 6 months, I will feel this answered her issues.

We've used probiotics with mixed success. This Firm Up has so far had very good results. It keeps him regular and his stools are firm and well-formed. We use about a tablespoon each time we feed him. In fact, he likes it so much that if we forget to put it on his food, he just stares at the feeding cabinet waiting for us to top off his food with it. All-in-all, we've been really happy with it.

Both our dogs went though a bout of soft stool when they were puppies and someone recommended we put canned pumpkin on their food and sure enough it worked. After a few stinky rotten cans of pumpkin in our fridge and we decided there had to be a better way than canned pumpkins. We stumbled across this product and it worked like a charm. Years later we're still using this and will not stop using this. We feed them dried dog food we buy in huge cheap bags (from a big box warehouse store that starts with the letter C…) and we put about a half tablespoon on each of their bowls pump one long pump of fish oil (I also buy from Amazon) and splash a little water on the whole thing and give it a stir. Our dogs LOVE the stuff and it keeps their stool nice and firm. If they ever get sick and have a bit more soft stool they may get an extra scoop or two and it works! Can't beat something that works! Great buy.

This is TMI for some, but if your dog has anal gland issues you know what a hassle they can be. Our dog struggled for months with soft poop, constipation, and anal gland leakage. We were having to express them every 2-3 weeks. This helped with the constipation within hours. After a couple months of giving it to her consistently, her poops are very firm and the anal gland fluid is just released when she poops. Since starting this we have only had to express her once and it was after a bout of unrelated stomach sickness which is to be expected. We give her 1/2 a tablespoon at breakfast and 1/2 a tablespoon at dinner (she eats 4 times a day and is 30 pounds for reference). She loves the taste too - especially mixed with peanut butter. Seriously try this (and give it consistently) if your dog is struggling with anal gland issues. It is seriously a lifesaver.

Both of my dogs love the flavor, and it does what it says it does...firm's up poop and relieves tummy issues. I mix it in with The Honest Kitchen dried food before adding warm water. And I add bone broth with the stuff too. They love the mixture and since I've added this pumpkin, their poop really turned back to normal. My older dog who is about 14, was having tummy issues. At first I added flora to the food, and he still struggled. When the pumpkin was added, it corrected to problem right away. I can't say enough positive things for this product.
