I didn't love the textbook (see textbook reviews) that went with this study guide, BUT the study guide was very helpful for me as a university student. As I said in the textbook review, every section wasn't written very well and kind of bounced all over the place as opposed to getting straight to the point and flowing. Several times, I had to go back and read the section to make sure I understood exactly what it wanted me to know and had to figure out what was just "noise" on my own. However, the study guide was very well done and utilized several techniques (i.e. matching, categorizing, completing sentences, case studies, optional "essays" <- as much as you want to write, labeling pictures, etc.) in order to better remember and understand the information. I really liked it and was able to obtain an "A" in the course.

This workbook helps get the details into your head. I bought it to go with the textbook, even though it wasn't required for the class. Sometimes I just copy in the answers (from the back of the workbook) but even that way I learn things I would have missed otherwise, and gain understanding of more difficult pathophysiologic processes. Worth the money, I am earning A's in the class.

I used this for a masters class in nursing. It was paired with the textbook and really helped me put it all together and organize the concepts more clearly in my brain. I thought the textbook was not written very well, very wordy without a lot of basic explanation. This study guide helped me quite a bit.

Great adjunct to the primary text (same authors and name) with answers readily available in the back if the book. I'd have given it 5 stars if the answers included rationales, though. My instructor used some of the study guide questions verbatim in her tests, so it was well worth the purchase for me. Diagrams, when offered, were helpful for study as well. Consists of multiple choice, true/false, fill in the blank, simple crossword puzzles(fun fill in the blanks, essentially), and matching. It served to help pull some content together as well, such as ordering disease process, cellular functions, clotting and wound or bone healing cascades. If you are considering this to accompany a required text for class, I would highly recommend to assist you with studying for tests.

Made a boo-boo and ordered. It is geared toward a baccalaureate level and I am in grad school, but as I have been out of school for a few years, it has helped my review of things I've forgotten. Recommend highly, as it makes you think.
