- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2024I liked all 3 very much
- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2015I think Shailene Woodley is a young actress to watch.. Theo.. (absolutely intensely watchable)... I don't know why people think "Meh" or "only watch it if you are so terminably bored, anything would entertain you"... Most reviewers on Amazon really do a good job; I count on those reviews when I purchase ANYTHING from Amazon PERIOD. "BORING, and MEH" are not helpful...
First, the Divergent series was not knock off of Hunger Games. It is much different, truly a different idea of dystopian bleakness and dishonesty... These books and films should appeal to young people, because it could be that generation which finds itself in this spot... (I pray not, but obviouly some very good writers are considering the possibility)
I wish I had made the time to see this in theatre.... but the intial reviews were poor, so I waited. It is interesting that the Blu-rays and dvds always get better reviews. It is a product of our short attention span society... if it's not blam wham thank you ma'm and an EXPLOSION.. it's not good enough... This movie was definitely good enough. Sure there was angst, cruelty, and tears, but the acting was superb, considering how much was on green screen.
It is a pleasure to watch Beatrice evolving into Tris.... She absolutely carries the theme which Veronica Roth kept repeating... "Be Brave"... it takes all of the factions, but first and foremost selflessness and dauntless to BE BRAVE,,, Let's all work on being BRAVE and not Bored...

- Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2024It's a very captivating series. Looking forward to the next season.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2024I read the books and the movie are both amazing!! I love this movie so much!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2015I enjoyed the movie, using my internal gauge that the movie ended in what seemed like too soon. This means that the emotional content, the cinematography, character development and plot lines moved forward at acceptable rates and the viewer was not jarred out of suspended disbelief by technical issues. If one has read the books, there is a disconnect in that the movie storyline evolves differently than the book series storylines. For example, we don't see Edward included in the storylines and an execution of a supporting character is performed by a person different than the person who performed the same action in the books. The final scene also seems at odds with the way the message was revealed in the books and how people in the city responded to the message. Lastly, the books tend to have a large amount of internal "thought discourse" which is very complicated to execute in a movie (first person / third person point-of-view dichotomy). All-in-all an enjoyable watch. I think that the moral tone of the movie remains consistent with the books and the teaching points in the books seem to have been translated well into the movie.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2023I absolutely love this series. One of my all time favorites. It’s very intriguing and leaves you wanting more! I started with the books and finished those and started the moves. Although they differ slightly this is one of my all time favorite reads and watches! 10/10 for me

- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2015What can I say; I loved it! I really enjoyed this movie! I read Divergent, but not Insurgent; after watching the movie, it made me want to read the book even more. The action scenes were great - really amazing! I really enjoyed the journey many of the characters made in this movie! And, okay, yes, I loved Four....loved, loved, loved Four! How can you not? He's strong, powerful, authoritative, he commands respect and yet, he's gentle enough to play with children and treat Tris like a queen! So attractive! And he's not the only one! I love that Tris is a female character who is strong, capable, and powerful...not some silly, simpering girl who needs to look to the boys for direction! I really liked the scene, as did my teenage daughter, of Tris with Theo, Miles and Ansel all in the same frame - all on-screen boyfriends! Awesome! :) I highly recommend this movie and have already watched it about four times in four days! Can't wait for the final installment!

5.0 out of 5 stars Secondo capitolo per una trilogia senza freni!

5.0 out of 5 stars Edicion Unica

3.0 out of 5 stars
