Saw a preview for this movie and immediately ordered it. I am so glad that we did. It was suspenseful the whole time. You start to figure out the puzzle as it goes on. It's definitely reach thru your tv screen kinda movie. I would highly recommend this movie.

I want to thank the six people that reviewed this movie before I rented it, you are the reason that I did rent it, and you were spot on. It is a great movie. This is what can happen when everything goes right in the making of a movie. Big kudos to the director, the entire production crew and the actors. This movie was so well cast, and the cast was so believable. They just grabbed this film and ran with all their might. This movie starts out pretty quiet, but man, it doesn't stay that way. I love a great thriller, and this one really did have me on the edge of my chair in the end. I did have just a tiny quibble with two things that happened in the end, I would have done them just a little differently, and I feel like the end could have been even more impactful. I'm not a spoiler, so I have to leave it at that.

once more the Writers show stupidity lack of subject matter rely on special effects to make a movie get a name actor "John Cusack " so people look at it or rent /buy it get stuck with a actor paying rent movie.
Maybe I am old school but a movie with good scripts and poor special effects or low budget are less forgiven then movies like this that have career criminals doing stupid stuff a 14 year old teen age would be smart enough not to do .
it is not bad bad just poor script writing
the end they state 1.5 million kids are trafficked a year maybe they should look at the USA southern border where 1000's are being used every day to get in because of Liberal politics agendas . Hollywood missed the mark on this one .
Also Hatti has real tuff laws since the earth quake and became a problem with HRC as Secretary of state it has become one hardest countries to take children out of another reason the writers did not do their homework

this is real it's based on real Scalpers that kidnap kids and sell them to human trafficking for money and parents have no luck adoption agencies do the same on the milk cartons - have you seen me people gone missing in this case both parents was not going to take this lying down found out the scam truth and went for their black/mixed child this is like Halley Berry in Kidnapped this child is not yours-I want my child back-you messed with the wrong momma

I do enjoy movies with John Cusack - and he plays a sneaky bad guy so well. I think I enjoyed this movie because this storyline DOES happen, sadly. It also shows the desperation of people that want to be parents and the ugly people that prey on that desperation.

I enjoyed this movie, it seemed realistic as if someone could tell you this actually happened to them. I really do enjoy watching Ryan Philippe on screen, I feel he is a great actor. You will not be disappointed as all of the actors and actresses did a wonderful job. And the story line was very well written and acted out. Great movie!!

Watched it for twenty minutes and then stopped because I got so bored of watching two wooden actors who look like they stepped out of a Fashion Magazine every minute of the movie ... Not a hair was out of place, no sweat was broken, no clothes were crinkled while they were supposed to be devastated about the disappearance of their newly adopted daughter. Yeah, right ... At least John Cusack at least lloked like a real person, bute he alone wasn't enough to keep me going. Sorry.

4.0 out of 5 stars 3 likable lead actors make it worth watching
Reviewed in Canada on January 28, 2018
An earnest spotlight on the problem of scams around paid adoptions of kids orphaned by disasters. At times it is so focused on the subject that the movie itself suffers. The first 20 minutes are painfully slow with endless tourist and ain't-it-wonderful-to-be-parents shots and so much wasted time in a 95 min movie is barely compensated for with the intense action of the last 30 minutes. The action is exciting but there's not much tension created as the "surprises" are telegraphed and predictable. The script is also very mundane with no humor or wit. So why would I give it four stars? The background scenery shot on location in Puerto Rico is fabulous, the director does a fine job of making the action thrilling, and the three leads are just so darn likable. Virtually no current actor does creepy quite as well as Cusack. it's not great, but it is enjoyable.
