Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I will say that it arrived quickly. However, not only did the dvd set arrive in a torn case with some sort of adhesive on the back held together by interlaced metal wiring (not joking), but the Cardio X dvd is missing. Didn’t seem to spot any of that in the description. So, they’re getting it sent back.
P90x is pretty intense. I've done the program before but quit after a month. This time I'm going to try real hard to do the full 90 days. I think last time i quit was because I didn't have the proper amount of weights so this time I'm trying with resistance bands. I just finished day 3 and I'm super sore but still motivated!
I use about half the dvds which are very good, the other half I didn’t care for. The yoga workout, for example. is too long at 90 minutes and chatarunga you to death. These guys work out like they have all day. Some of the warmups are close to 15 minutes! The workouts are 50 to 90 minutes. There is a lot of extraneous movement that I don’t feel add value and large gaps in time between exercises, at times. I am constantly skipping ahead. That said, I have had good results because they are solid routines. I like the chest workout, for example, but be forewarned, half the routine are pushups. I tend to switch some of these out for a weighted alternative, otherwise prepare to do a couple hundred pushups if you can keep up with the dvd. I mix and match with other programs for my workouts, which works well.
