    The Pentel Twist-Erase III features a comfortable, extra-soft latex-free grip for less writing fatigue. The sturdy, well-balanced barrel makes this the most popular Twist-Erase pencil around. A larger-than-ordinary and long-lasting twist-up eraser cleanly erases any mistakes – no smudges, no paper tears and no ghosts. Available in 0. 5mm, 0. 7mm and 0. 9mm lead sizes; it is pre-loaded with Pentel super Hi-Polymer HB lead that never needs sharpening, is super strong and produces a clear dark line. The protective tip design stabilizes lead to reduce breakage to keep you writing longer. It is backed by pentel’s limited lifetime .

    I had previously bought a set of two of these for my boyfriend whom was working on his PhD in Physics and needed a really high quality pencil to last through all the work he was doing. Pencil lasted for years of constant use. best eraser, stayed up when erasing, hate when they twist down while using it.This was the first one bought on amazon and i chose the “blue” one that most definitely turned out to be purple. Not to rate it poorly because the picture and description were wrong because the product is still a favorite top quality pencil, that i will continue to buy, but perhaps only in person where i know what i am getting lol

      I would suggest putting a little in the packaging explaining that in order to put extra lead refills in pencils barrel, you MUST pull the top of the unit off to gain access. It took me a little while to figure it out. Other than that, the pencil is good.
