    The second carrier landing app looks even more sophisticated and professional than the first.
    "Carrier landing" is only one feature, you have all the functionality of a flight simulator.
    The free version has one plane and one scenario but no other restrictions.
    A Kindle Fire HD can take medium detail, only full is not recommended.
    IMPORTANT: if you are unfamiliar with the controls, fly the training missions first which aren't documented. To access them, press the arrow on the left side of the screen in the scenario selection view.
    I particularly like that in full control mode you have flaps and landing gear under your control, it adds to realism as does the ATC communication audio.
    You have every view imaginable to choose from, and the replay has the new cinema feature which shows your landing in a smart way, changing view angles as the virtual camera follows your plane.
    I recommend you try a final approach first, you're already aligned and set, just keep reducing speed, extend flaps, deploy landing gear and bring the bird down in one piece which isn't too hard given the responsive tilt controls.
    Now kick the tires and light the fires!

    I love this app because it is very realistic in my opinion. Some reviews complain about how hard it is to land on aircraft carriers. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. In reality, the hardest part of being a fighter pilot is landing, especially landing on carriers. I love testing myself with it, since I am a huge fighter-jet fan.

    What I want to see added to the game:
    1. I do wish that there could be a way to refuel in free flight, like landing at the airport and taxiing to a refuel truck or something.
    2. Multiplayer - Possibly have an airtraffic controller, and then of course, have other fighter pilots live in the game. This would be fun to interact with others and have fun. But have a rating feature where we could rate someone if they are causing a negative effect in the game, then they could be banned for a few days from multiplayer mode.
    3. Possibly have bombs, missiles, and machine guns added into the jets? There could be a mode just for that.
    4. More free scenarios - you have to pay money for the rest of the maps and jets.

    This game is great, physics are perfect, controls are perfect, and it even has weather effects too.. Having played the flight simulator for computer this is really close and is the best flight simulator out right now... but you only get 1 plane, 1 map, and 6 missions for free and then you have to pay 2.99 USD for most of it unlocked or 4.99 USD for all unlock... I'm not saying it's not worth it but it's kinda annoying might as well have just charged 4.99 for the entire app... still an amazing app though...

    There are 3 versions of this game. I started out with F-18 Carrier Landing Lite, Then chose to advance to F18 Carrier Landing for more advanced flying and controls. There is a 3rd version- Pro @ $5.99.

    I have had this Game (n my Kindle) for 5 days. OMG! This game is soo much fun! You Fly the F-18 Strike Fighter. There are different scenarios you can fly, or add-on. You start our with taking off from-, flying, and returning to an airbase.

    This opens up the "training" mode where you learn how to control, take off, and land the F-18 from a land airbase and an aircraft carrier. You can always go back and practice/review the lessons.

    Then, you get to do the scenarios without instructors. I guarantee that you crash at least once- especially on the aircraft carrier. It really is as hard as NAVY pilots say it is.

    There is also Free Flight. You can fly around for a while. But- there is a fuel gauge. Be sure to watch this and get back to your landing area before your run out of fuel because, for every successful flight you get points which will unlock new scenarios.

    The ground looks like barf and the ground is a picture from Google earth and if you overun the runway you blow up randomly cause you went on the grass. And pay 3$ for another scenerie that takes a week to make.the only thing that's good is the plane's but the cockpit is okay

    Bei dem Spiel handelt es sich um einen Flugsimulator, bei dem eine F18 (gegen Aufpreis auch andere Kampfjets) geflogen werden kann. Ich hatte anfänglich große Probleme beim Starten der App, die sich jedoch nach mehreren Versuchen gegeben haben (mehr dazu später).

    Trotz der militärischen Komponente des Spiels, kommt es gänzlich ohne Gewalt aus, was ich persönlich sehr schön finde. Während es bei der App 'Extreme Landings' vom selben Hersteller fast ausschließlich um das Landen unter verschiedenen Bedingungen geht, ist bei diesem Spiel die fliegerische Komponente mehr betont. In verschiedenen Missionen müssen unterschiedliche Aufgaben erfüllt werden (Eskorte von anderen Flugzeugen, Aufklärungsflüge bei denen Objekte fotografiert werden müssen, etc.) . Starts und Landungen sind dabei nur ein Teil, der zum Erfüllen der Mission erfüllt werden muss. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist nicht zu unterschätzen, mag aber vielleicht bei Verwendung auf einem Tablet leichter wie auf einem kleinen Smartphone sein.

    Ich persönliche spiele die App auf meinem Smartphone (Blackberry Q10) und bin sehr begeistert. Die Erfüllung der Missionen und vor allem die Landung auf einem Flugzeugträger erfordert einiges an Geschick und Übung, aber das ist im echten Leben auch so. Eine Landung auf einem Flugzeugträger ist nun mal die Königsklasse der Fliegerei. Insofern find ich den Schwierigkeitsgrad vollkommen angemessen.

    Was die fliegerischen Elemente betrifft, darf man sich nur bedingt Realismus erwarten. Der Spaßfaktor steht bei diesem Spiel ganz klar im Vordergrund. Flugbegeisterte Hobbypiloten, die eher ein 'reales Fluggefühl' suchen, lege ich 'Extreme Landings' vom selben Hersteller ans Herz. Alle die jedoch einfach nur ein bisschen durch die Gegend düsen und ohne "viel Knöpfedrücken" landen wollen, werden mit dieser App garantiert glücklich.

    FAZIT: Sehr gute Grafik, guter Schwierigkeitsgrad, interessante Missionen und das alles um 0 Cent! Daumen hoch und volle fünf Sterne von meiner Seite!

    Startproblem: Wie eingangs erwähnt, hatte ich anfänglich Probleme die App zu starten. Kaum war das Startmenü sichtbar, erschien auch schon eine Werbung und gleich darauf stürzte das Programm ab. Unzählige Versuche führen immer wieder zum selben Ergebnis. Bei einem meiner vielen Versuche gelang es mir jedoch noch vor dem Erscheinen der Werbung im Startmenü schnell auf 'Freiflug' zu klicken. Ich beendete den Freiflug mit einer Landung und seitdem funktioniert das Spiel bei mir einwandfrei.

    Un petit bug en mode télécommande : pour chaque scénario, les missions se débloquent au fur et à mesure de la réussite de celles-ci. Malheureusement, le déblocage ne se fait que sur la tablette, et pas sur le téléphone. on ne peut donc faire dans ce mode que la première mission , ou alors la faire deux fois : 1 fois en mode téléphone seul, et une fois en mode télécommande.
