Varied difficulty (wish difficulty was labeled on each puzzle). Fun, well written puzzles. Easy to use (although you have to figure it out though experimentation - no instructions!). Touch once to mark with an x (not this pairing), twice to mark with a dot (this pairing is correct). When you select with a dot it auto fills in Xs for that box's column and row but it does not transfer the Xs nor dots from other boxes. You can scroll through the clues and even mark the clue as completed. There's a place to take notes on the puzzles too. Since there are no instructions, it could have other features I haven't discovered yet.

It's easily playable on my phone as well as my tablet.

A really nice app. You get five free puzzles and have to pay for more.

At the time of this writing, it's $2.99 for 30 puzzles. You are paying for puzzles from Dell & Penny Press - the two main publishers of logic problem magazines (at least in the USA). A few years ago you could get a roughly 100 puzzle penny press magazine for $3.99 and I know the price hasn't gone down, so the per puzzle cost in this app is kinda high. (Debated knocking a star off for high prices, but it's more of a "what is it worth to you" factor than an actual app flaw.)

1 is too high a rating as it is another with insufficient instructions, freezes at inopportune times, interrupts with ads which could be put at the beginning, and there is so little to do with so many of the games it's hard to know if you really want it. Therefore, I have deleted it as with so many that I try that don't let you play long enough before they ask for money.

This app is a digital version of logic problems presented in the Penny Saver magazines. These problems test your logical deductive reasoning and can be a lot of fun. I couldn't give this app 5 stars though because it only comes with 5 problems and then you must purchase packs of problems at $6-$8 per pack. There are no new problems to get for free, so once you finish the initial 5, the app is useless unless you want to pay for more.

Comes with only 10 puzzles. Additional puzzles run $3 for 30. That's 10 cents per puzzle, a bit steep in my opinion. Puzzles are rated as Easier, Medium, or Harder; but these ratings seem highly subjective to me. The Easy puzzles are pretty easy, but the hard puzzles range from "Solved it in 2 minutes" to "freaking impossible without taking a crap-load of side notes". Also, the phrasing on some of the clues is a bit ambiguous, leading to head scratching "what does that mean?" moments. One last thing, twice now, I have nearly completed a puzzle pack, only to have it reset, telling me I didn't do the earlier puzzles, not sure what's going on there.

I have long been a fan of logic problems. They are actually something I truly enjoyed, and was thrilled to be introduced to, in middle school math class. They may be the only thing I enjoyed about math class, as I am not a numbers person. That being said I like figuring out puzzles and problems, so long as they are not geared more to numbers, and these logic problems are right up my alley.

I find myself playing them on my Kindle Fire 7" mostly at night when it is time to wind down and I feel the process of solving the problems keeps my mind distracted from thoughts that can at times make it difficult for me to fall asleep. Puzzles in general help me with anxiety and racing thoughts and logic problems, in particular, are a favorite of mine.

I have enjoyed the design, level of difficulty
and features such as "hints", the ability to show errors and the ability to completely clear a screen, which is good for having the option of playing again down the road or having someone else take a crack at it.

I enjoyed this starter 5 puzzle version enough that I just purchased volume 1 (which has 30 problems to solve). There are more difficult logic problems out there but this set is good for those who are being introduced to them or, like me, just being reintroduced to them. I now expect I will be on a "logic problem kick" for a while, just as I had experienced 30 years ago when first discovering how fond I was of them.

This is an excellent app! Ten free puzzles, then 30 puzzles for $2.99. That's only 10 cents a puzzle. And they're all grid puzzles - I really prefer them over the ones without grids. I like that there's an area to make notes, before I was used to the app I was thinking "but I still need paper to organize my thoughts!"
It's impossible to find logic puzzle books at the store and although getting a value pack is a little cheaper, the app is a lot easier to carry around!
I'm of an age where they didn't teach girls logic in high school, so I came to love it later in life. I discovered them in a variety puzzle book back when Penny and Dell were separate companies. I've been hooked ever since!
My only question is, is there a detailed description of the answer like in the books? The book directions always tell you if you're stuck to read up to where you're stuck, get a clue to get over the hump, and continue on. I'm in one of those situations. I clicked hint and it said none were available, did I want the answer. Didn't know what I'd get, so I just left it for a while...

The few free ones are too few. Once you get through those, it is asking for repeated payment for bundles of fresh puzzles. They are good puzzles. It's a shame because there are a lot of pure logic apps out there.

Have been doing these for several years, even resetting the original ones, so I was keen to start the new ones. Sadly, the clues are convolulated and has taken the majority of the fun out of it. Don't think I'll be bothering anymore.

Not that great, may be in my old age I'm stupid, but almost all of the puzzles seem to need at least 1/2 a clue more to make them solvable.
