    I went straight to YouTube when I heard a squeaky noise coming from my dryer. I had to keep using WD40 on the old part until the new one came in. I immediate changed the parts out and have heard no squeaking noises since then. So glad I did my research before having to buy a brand new dryer.

    This was the fact part I needed and very easy to install. It saved me from calling a repair person or having to bring my dryer somewhere to get repaired. Just make sure you know if the pulley is accessed from the front or the back of the dryer. I watched a video for the wrong model and took the front off first and mine is accessed from the back! If I would have accessed the back first, it would have taken me 10 - 15 minutes to replace.

    Perfect fit on my Maytag dryer, and once again it solved the squealing that seems common in this and similar models of dryers. I'm quite ashamed at Maytag for the design though. I've had to replace this part twice in the last several years of owning this dryer, and under normal use. They sure don't make them like they used to, for sure. Will buy another for a spare, as it will be needed again in a couple years.

    I have a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer, probably 5 or 6 years old. Only recently, it let out the most horrible screeching, so bad that I was afraid to use it at all. Like nails on a chalkboard, it would scream in protest when in use. After much research and reading online, there were only two common causes for this symptom: the idler pulley or the belt, but it seemed it might be more likely the pulley. Taking a chance, and seeing the price of this part was comparable to other part websites, I ordered the part. It came one day earlier than estimated. It took roughly 1.5 hours to take the dryer apart, clean up the lint and dust, change out the pulley, and put everything back together again. The only thing is, it was difficult on my own, but thankfully my husband was around to lend a hand. Four hands are definitely better than two for this project.
