Secure notepad is a password protected notes application. It allows you to keep all your notes, lists, ideas, etc. protected. Unlike other protected notes app, this app allows clickable-links for phone numbers and web addresses, etc. This allows you to click on the links and have the appropriate application open. (i.e.: a phone number brings up the phone app; a web address brings up the browser, etc.) This app also has confrontation security, which is explained in the application. This is a handy tool for everyone. You can also E-mail your note to yourself or anyone you wish. This shareware application (suggested registration after 15 uses) also has a beautiful notepad-looking user interface and a slick password entry screen and other features.
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This was a nice little, easy to use app. I certainly wish I'd known it was shareware. At the very least, when it expires, there should be an opportunity to retrieve what was stored there. Now I'm wondering where my data goes when I remove the app from my Kindle Fire HDx. Finally, I have to say I think it's rather tacky to sell a password app; wouldn't an upgrade be more appropriate? Well, wouldn't a statement that it was a trial have been more appropriate to start with!
Six months later - UPDATE!
I still think there should have been mention of the expiration but I have to say this is a very helpful little app. I use it to remember things that are sensitive but not heavy weight enough to go in my "big" password manager. It works quite well and I'll add some stars to my rating.
This is terrible I downloaded this made some personal notes and now they say trial ended...They NEVER said this was a trial. I lost all my personal notes and to me this is FRAUD ....Just to make you buy there product. This is so wrong and no way to treat someone that used your app. Trying to make someone pay for something that was free is terrible. This app should be taken off Amazon.....
It's been awhile since I tried this item can't really remember exactly what went wrong, type a page then lost it couldn't get it back. I was on my kindle, typing with one finger takes awhile.
This has been an easy to use simple notepad. Secured by a pin. I could draft odd emails or note reminders. Even store the odd quote.
Now lists itself as expired, wanting further registration or a new app installed or purchased?
But here's the thing - if I can't rely on an app to be there with jottings, what's the point? So I will look elsewhere - Evernote, Google Keep, or something else with consistency and better functionality it is.
And even the author's name has also failed to inspire confidence.
