Product looks great and feels solid! After reading a few reviews I took some advice from others. First I purchased new stainless steel #8 1-1/2 inch sheet metal screws. The sheet metal screws have the screw head that allows a flush fit with the flag pole holder. Next I purchased a bag of 3/16 inch all purpose concrete and drywall anchors. This bag comes with screws but they will not mount correctly because of the screw heads...next I purchased a 3/16 inch masonry bit.
First I used a laser level and a pencil to mark where I wanted the holder mounted and marked the screw holes with a pencil.
Next, using a masonry bit, I drilled three holes. I filled these holes with a bit of silicone caulk to ensure moisture didn’t seep in.
Next I used a hammer to lightly tap in the plastic concrete/drywall anchors. Next, I lined up the holes in the holder with the anchors and screwed them in. First by hand, then after ensuring a flush fit, I screwed them in the rest of the way with a cordless drill with a longer screwdriver bit.
Once all screws were seated and flag holder is flush...I removed the pole locking screw on the side and added some white lithium grease to the threads and put it back on. I would have used Marine grade grease if I had some. This will ensure it can turn next year and doesn’t rust solid.

The flag mount is hefty! Great quality and sturdy. Actually came with bronze screws to match, not the metal screws pictured. Needed to use my own anchors to mount to a cement block wall. Paired perfectly with the Evergreen pole and house size flag.

Excellent Heavyweight holder. Good Quality casting that can hold two flags at the same time with minor modification. I had a plastic flag holder that lasted two weeks. The common thumbscrew on most all models of this type bracket is designed to hold one flagpole at a time. A simple modification is needed to hold both poles in place. I drilled a 1/4 hole through the bracket and through the metal flagpole. Using a Bimini top clip I use the thumbscrew to hold the bottom banner pole, and the Bimini top clip to hold the 45* flagpole. This keeps both poles seated firmly and makes for easy flag changes. I also drilled a second hole on the 45* pole in case I seat it all the way down, using both thumbscrew and clip to hold it even more firmly in place.

It's a beautiful hammered bronze kind of finish that blends with the look and feel of my house. Close-up, looks refined but rustic, far away it disappears from view. I can't speak to how durable it really is because I just mounted it, but it's heavy, substantial, and if you use better quality screws the weight of the material and the welds tell you it's not going to bend or break off anywhere.

I'd give it all the stars, but feel like this is a leitmotif on Amazon: The screws they send to mount this thing strip at the least little bit of escalated torque (I screwed mine in by hand). Then, you find you've gotten on the bus you can't get off and you're stuck halfway screwed-in, without a way (not one that isn't a pain in the butt) to move forward or go back. Please stop sending cheap screws, Amazon vendors.
