- Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2015Some formatting and grammatical errors but this small book/ guide serves as a handy and quick reference regarding OT evaluations. I liked how the assessments were summarized in tables and separated based on what was being examined.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2014My wife had to have it for class, and was what she needed, when she needed it, condition as advertised
- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2018Purchased my book New with TextbooksRush as the seller. Book came seamingly new, even still sealed in the plastic wrapping. I was immediately disappointed in the binding- a significant percentage of the pages feel crimped together at the area where the holes were punched. In order to completely turn the pages it often results in tearing them apart. Very annoying to deal with in a book with such a wide spiral. I can't quickly flip through the book because such large sections are adhered together.
Now as I continue to use the text I find HIGHLIGHTING in the later chapters of the book!! It's clear that the seller re-heat wrapped this text trying to pass it off as new.
As is the case with any disappointing textbook order, it took me a bit of time to find the flaws and even if I saw it right away, I NEED the text for class. I can't just go without it while I wait for it to be shipped back and then replaced. Overall it's the fault of the seller, not the book itself but I'm still displeased.
Wrt the book content, it's a bit more focused on ROM and MMT style assessment than I expected. Less emphasis on standardised assessment instruments, though it still covers a fair few. Notoriously missing anything regarding mental health symptom presentation. Overall I feel the paediatric version is better value for money, but it's good if you need motor assessments as well as others in your class (my university splits them). It's got online resources apparently. Usually those are nice.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2018This book was ripped and flawed. It was not as described and I was very upset. I had to order a new one and never put this one back in the mail. So here I am stuck with this book...I didn’t know that I only had a short window to return it
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2014I was extremely disappointed with this recent purchase. I was not expecting a spiral-bound book. The picture does not indicate it is spiral bound, and the book's specifications only indicate that it is a soft cover book. I bring up my disappointment with this because the spiral binding is very "flexible" and "flimsy" thus making the "pocket guide" design impractical to use due to several of the pages being tightly stuck together. I have had to go through the book, page by page, pulling apart the tightly adhesive pages. In doing this, some of the pages have ripped from the binding. It is true, the information is on the page and is readable; however, when you pay $60 for this book, you do not anticipate that the pages will fray from the binding and you should not have to worry about how you are going to ensure the pages stay intact. I am not sure if others have also experienced this, or if I received a bad copy.
