Nearly everything about this product is a BIG two thumbs up!
Packaging: the item arrives in sturdy, safe packaging (box is heavy, though--team lift may be necessary). Opening one side of the box allows easy access to all pieces, which arrived in pristine condition. Glass plates are in an extra, inside box; everything is well cushioned and packaged.
Assembly: instructions are very straightforward and understandable. The actual assembly process was smooth and only took about 20-30 minutes (I did it by myself). You will need a philips screwdriver for screws but everything else for assembly is provided. The only time when a second person may be needed is early (during steps 1 and 2) when you need to assemble the lower compartment and then flip it upright (I did it alone, but it was slightly awkward). All the remaining steps are easily handled by a single individual. *TIP* I would strongly recommend you assemble the bookshelf in the same area where it will be kept. Once assembled, it is not easily moved, even with multiple adults.
Quality: The shelves themselves are thick and sturdy, well-painted (love the dark color; it goes with many things in a typical house), and can bear a lot of weight. I have shelves lined with tons of books, including thick textbooks and there seems to be no issues with weight. The only "concern" is that the shelf has a little wobble to it from side-to-side (probably because glass plates sit in a groove and are not tightened or screwed into anything). Nevertheless, I think this is just a feature based on its assembly, and I don't think it has major bearing on overall stability (bookshelf will definitely not collapse from this). Numerous books (or other items) can fill each shelf as the length and depth are significant (it has a foot's worth of depth and nearly 3 ft of length). The finished product is fairly tall, over 5 ft (so make sure your chosen spot accommodates these dimensions).
Overall: The completed product is beautiful to look at, is modern, sleek, and has an alternative, artistic look; also, the materials are sturdy and solid--well made (not cheaply made like so much other furniture). It can easily double as something more decorative (not just a bookshelf, as you see in the profile picture); in fact, my top shelf looks gorgeous with decorative vases. I highly recommend this product, both its utility and aesthetics.

Bought Two for a larger set-up and am not disappointed.
I was looking for a bookshelf that I thought would fit my need. I have a small condo with only a limited amount of space and need to use it efficiently, so I was looking for a bookshelf that I thought could help manage general floorspace and hold a large number of stuff in the mis-matched shelves and bookshelves around my house. I opted to buy two despite previous reviews about "quality" because, as you can see in the picture, I had an image of what I wanted.Doesn't disappoint. It took me ~5 hours to build both bookshelves including bringing them into the house, unpacking, and tossing the garbage. I was able to do this alone pretty easily, and the bookshelves are secured via both glued-pegs and wood screws. The two bookshelves don't line up perfectly next to each other, but anything wooden is not going to be perfectly symmetrical when you get two of them. As you can see, the shelf meets my needs for both height, general width, and usability. The two bookshelves allowed me to empty out my three old bookshelves and save a considerable amount of space, which I can still make more efficient if I need to.Considerations: When you open the box, make sure to pull out the instructions. In my first box I completely missed them because the book is pretty thin, so I accidentally tossed it. User error. In addition, make sure to have paper towels on hand in case you add too much glue to the pegs so you can immediately clear it off the shelf itself. The glass is full tempered glass so it will be heavier than you anticipate, but in my opinion it adds to the stability of the shelf. I've tried wiggling them and they don't move.Overall - Highly pleased with my purchase. If I need another bookshelf or expanded storage, I will be buying a third to continue the bookshelf-wall that I'm starting to make. :)

It's exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a shelf that had good height as well as depth because I wanted my record player to not hang off the shelf. Check & check. The piece compliments the furniture in my room & has the uniqueness I was looking for. It fits perfectly in the space I planned for it. It feels very sturdy, no wobble, without the wall mounts. (I have since added many books since this day 1 photo.) I love the glass sides that give it a "breathable, airy" look. The package was very heavy, 80+ pounds, but once it was in the house, I just carried the individual pieces upstairs. The box was in good shape, and every piece of the shelf was in perfect condition. It only took about 30-40 minutes to assemble. I found it very easy to put together but I don't think it'll be as easy to move some day. Regardless, I couldn't be any happier with the product, especially for the price. Would recommend to anyone with a modern style.

I ordered 2 of these bookshelves to go next to each other because I liked the look so much. Assembly was pretty easy, took probably 30 minutes to build each one. I was worried at first that the glass panels would not feel stable, but they are actually quite sturdy and I didn't feel the need to use the included wall fastener. The only issue I have, and it's a minor one so I didn't deduct a star, is that one bookshelf is actually 1/8 of an inch taller than the other. Those wont matter to most people, but since I have them right next to each other its not the best look (see included picture). Overall I would recommend these bookshelves, great look for the price.
