A PERFECT FIT!
This motor worked perfectly in my Whirlpool Duet WED9200SQ dryer. While there were several listed that were less expensive, I decided to go with this one because it was the only one that came back with the "It Will Fit" response to the query of will it work in my dryer. I figured for the extra $50, I would not have to put up with a hassle of working around the install. Also, I highly recommend buying the blower fan (WP697772 or just 697772) at the same time. While the blower (the box called it a wheel) was not listed as Prime available, I was very pleased that it arrived at the same time as the motor. And yes, the old blower was 'frozen' onto the shaft of the old motor. So just as the internet videos show, have a good 16 oz hammer and a solid 1/2" or 1" wood chisel available to get that blower off of the shaft. I put some grease on the new shaft hoping it wont 'freeze' later on.
This motor came with a piece of split insulating sleeve (a little difficult to work with but just take your time) and two insulated small quick connects for wires. My dryer's broken belt switch was on the base and attached to the spring tensioner pulley. The two wires from the belt switch fit the new motor perfectly. The sleeve is used on the longer wire close to the motor to prevent the wire from rubbing against the motor frame. The insulated quick connects were not needed. The long wire went to the overload switch, but understand that the tab was moved to the end of the switch (it used to be on the long side on the old motor). The other wire from the switch went to the back connector of terminal 4 just like on the old motor.
This is a fool-proof install because one end of the motor bearing hub is notched to fit into a matching notch of the metal support. Therefore, the electrical male power connector is positioned just right for the old power connector. Since there are so many versions of Whirlpool/Kenmore (yes, Whirlpool makes dryers for Sears under the Kenmore brand) dryers, the internet is replete with disassembly/assembly instructions. But I know for a fact, this motor worked and fixed my dryer.
