This was a fun read... I don't remember ever having a synopsis of a chapter during previous Bible studies or readings or teachings, outside of perhaps the author and to whom it was written, and that was only on occasion. I also enjoyed the selection of "meaningful verses" from each book. I found it fun to read the information on each chapter of the Bible, and to anyone that has interest in the Bible, I think you would enjoy it, too. I think this would make a good small group study, just to go over each book's info and then discuss.

I use this a lot. It is certainly not an alternative to actually reading the Bible, nor is it intended as such. It provides useful information. I find it helpful to read the chapter, then the corresponding book in my Bible. It provides good background information to help me better understand the actual book in the Bible.

I've had the first edition and regarded it as a very good but brief description. I ordered the expanded edition because of the original version and really did (and still do) enjoy the added comments. I recommend you have both on your reading list.

In reading this, I have learned things I did not know. It is also a good way to learn about each book of the bible. Knowing a basic idea of what the book is about really helps when you're reading it.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous, but…

This little book is packed full of essentials and is therefore extremely helpful and does exactly what it sets out to do however, the quotes from notable bible Bible scholars and commentators do contain ‘insights’ (term used loosely here) by top heretics C I Schofield and John Darby, please mark and avoid them and their blasphemous heresies, I cannot stress this enough. If you see their names, scroll on by…

Other than that, thank you to the author and his team for a very valuable resource.
