UPDATE: I bought this in August 2020, it has been fantastic until today 7/22/2024. I no longer can plug in and turn on two small appliances or anything electric at a time without it tripping the surge protector. What my invoice was then has doubled since then so I cannot replace it with the same model which I really love.
The actual unit is a full 2 inches tall. I bought it to use on my kitchen bar with appliances that have too short cords such as a Ninja Foodi Grill, Instant Pot and Food Processor etc. Also I have some that are oddly shaped and this was a perfect solution. I can stretch it out across the bar and plug in! I can use the USB to charge at the same time. It does work on 220V AC as well, so great for traveling! Proof that it works!
There is an on/off switch with an indicator light. No question if it is on or off. It works with all sizes and shapes of plugs, tall, round, square, rectangle, odd because of the rotating plugs. This makes this strip so very useful because you can change the orientation of the actual plug so you can use odd plugs side by side!
It has a 4 foot power cord, which is perfect for my kitchen bar needs.
