    Don't expect high quality formal wear, and you won't be disappointed. Overall it's nice for a costume piece. Colorful, and fairly well constructed, though the material is a bit thin. The bow tie is comically large. I took safety pins, tucked up some of the excess, and pinned it on the back side and it looked perfect. The vest itself was large on me as well, but I'd rather have it too large than too small. I again took safety pins and pinned both sides from the inside to give it a more "fitted" look, and it worked great for my party. For reference, I'm 5'8", weigh about 165 pounds, and am fairly trim.

    This vest was waaaaaay better quality than I expected. It is made from real fabric, with finished edges, has three shiny metal buttons, and fits me (40" chest, shirt size L) over a shirt just fine. Other "costume" or cosplay items tend to be "one size" which is too often a euphemism for very very large, but this is wonderful. It came with a matching bowtie with elastic to go around the neck which is considerably "cheaper". This vest is definitely something that will see uses for many years at Mardi Gras or party events. The shiny collar is a different, stiffer fabric that can crinkle, but I have a whole vest made of that material from another event and despite the do not iron instructions, it can be ironed carefully at low temp to knock out most wrinkles and creases.
