Love the idea, did not give the results I was hoping
My dog has had a hotspot on his paw for months. I have tried everything from the vet, two rounds of meds, cone, socks - you name it. I bought this to add to my toolbelt of products and it has been a good addition but did not do everything I had hoped. Unlike the liquid bandage for humans, this does not seem to have as thick of a coverage. I accidently get it on my hands and I don't notice that there is a film at all. It also takes a while to dry and my dog instantly wants to lick it off. If I can get him past the drying stage of the liquid bandage, it seems to increasing healing time.Pros:- Affordable- Easy to use- Seems to quicken healing time- I like that it is an antiseptic and protects wounds that may get dirty quicklyCons:- Did not seem to protect the wound as well as I had hoped- Takes a little longer than 30 seconds to dry completely.

My German Shepherd seems to as always come up with a scrape or cut. This takes care of problem just spray it on and see it work. The only issue is the pump clogs up. I take a small empty bottle and put hot water
spray and clean it out. It works as advertised. You spray it on and once the product wears of the wound is healed.

I recently tried using a dog liquid bandage on my pup after a minor head injury, and I’m honestly impressed with the results. My dog had a small cut on his forehead, and traditional bandages weren’t a feasible option since he kept trying to scratch them off or shake them loose. This liquid bandage seemed like a perfect solution, and it didn’t disappoint.

    Ease of Application:
Applying the liquid bandage was simple. I just cleaned the wound, and then sprayed a thin layer of the bandage over the cut. It dried in a matter of minutes, forming a clear, flexible shield over the wound. My dog didn’t seem bothered by it at all, and it stayed in place through his normal activities.

    Protection and Comfort:
What I really liked was that the liquid bandage created a strong, waterproof barrier that kept dirt and bacteria out. Given the location of the injury on his head, I was worried he’d try to lick it or rub his head against things, but this stuff held up well. It was soft and flexible, so it didn’t irritate his skin or interfere with his movements, and I didn’t have to worry about it rubbing off.

    Healing Benefits:
After a few days, the cut had started to heal nicely. The bandage kept the area protected and clean, and I didn’t notice any signs of infection. It also allowed the skin to breathe, which I’ve read is important for proper healing.

    Drawbacks:
There are a couple of minor things to note. The product can be a bit tricky to apply if your dog is squirming, so you’ll need to make sure they’re still while you’re using it. Also, the liquid bandage doesn’t work on deeper or more severe wounds, so I’d still consult a vet for anything beyond a superficial injury.

    Final Thoughts:
Overall, I’d highly recommend the dog liquid bandage for minor head injuries. It’s a great alternative to traditional bandages, especially for areas like the head where it can be hard to get a bandage to stay in place. Just keep an eye on the wound to ensure it’s healing properly, and if the injury worsens, definitely seek veterinary advice.

My fur baby had a minor cut on his front leg and was licking it non stop until it started slightly bleeding. I sprayed this on him and looked at his wound the next day and it was almost fully healed! He usually fusses about being sprayed with anything but he gave no issues when I sprayed this! Would recommend for sure

My dog broke her nail chasing a rabbit. It was down to the quick. It kept breaking open and bleeding. I bought this in hopes it would help keep it sealed. It does. I cleaned it the best I could, followed the directions, and it hasn't busted open again. Usually, use it one time a day. I also noticed she didn't lick it hardly at all and seemed to make it more comfortable for her. I would buy again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing stuff!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 12, 2024
I have a 3.5 year old lab who suffers from happy tail. This time she managed to split her tail right at the very tip. Believe me when I say we have tried EVERYTHING to try and get it to heal and we were facing her tail being amputated. Like others have mentioned the bottle didn't spray so I ordered smaller spray bottles and decanted it into those. In the beginning I made the mistake of spraying her tail, waiting for a minute or two then letting her out to the toilet, that just made a bigger mess and it was harder to clean as the spray is sort of sticky. I then swapped and used this every time she came in from the garden, tail cleaned with leucillin, dried then used this spray. As it started to heal I stopped using the leucillin and just used the spray every time she came in. It's taken 10 days and her tail has gone from a raw, bleeding almost inch long split to a small scab, the wound is clean, dry and looking so much better. If you have a dog with a difficult to heal wound I would highly recommend this.

I bought this because j could not find bandages that would stick to my dogs under belly sores after breast cancer treatment. The bottle is bigger than I thought, fluid also goes a long way thanks to a good spray tip. She seemed to almost immediately have relief, so I tried it on myself when I chew my fingers from anxiety and it REALLY HELPS!

3.0 out of 5 stars Contents good but pump action not
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 5, 2020
This product certainly seems effective - my dog has a raw exposed section on top of a mammary gland tumour, which because of the tumour will not heal, according to my vet. The spray is definitely better than the cream I was using before, and she is licking it a lot less. The only problem I have is with the pump action on the bottle. It does come out eventually, after maybe six or seven depressions, and then a few more before the next one comes. It also doesn't spray evenly. One time it sprays fully, the next in a thin line. It can also only be done upright, which is awkward when the exposed spot is on her stomach area. So the product inside the bottle seems good, but I would recommend the manufacturers get a different pump action for the bottle.
