I would like to preface this review with saying that I have had Otterbox cases on my phones before (I've only had the commuter series) so I'm pretty biased towards them, but I'lll try and give it a fair review!
On past phones, namely iPhones, I have had commuter series Otterbox cases to protect my phone and this one is just as successful as the last ones I've had. They protect my phone from the wear and tear of being tossed into my backpack or shoved into my pockets. I put my phone in my pockets a lot, which has proven to be highly destructive to other cases, but my Otterbox case has managed to stay in one piece and still protect my phone. My last phone had the commuter series case for about two years and the hard shell part of the case had just started to get caught in my pocket and break, which for two years of going in and out of my pocket countless times a day, I would say that it's about time it started to show some wear and tear. Overall, for protecting my phone as long as it did and as well as it did, this really doesn't bother me because it lasted MUCH longer than any other case has.
I also do not drop my phone very often, but when I do it is one of those accidents where you just don't even want to pick it up because you're sure that your screen will be obliterated and you just don't want to face the truth. Well, since having the commuter series case from Otterbox, I have never had a ding on my phone, let alone a cracked screen. I will also note that I have a screen protector, for what its worth. But I have never had any damage done to my phone whether it's chipping the side or cracking either the front screen or the back. For slim, convenient protection that will keep your phone safe through normal wear and tear, I would recommend this product to any of my friends or family.

Good value for an adult user
Have purchased no name brand cases, converted all my phones to Otterbox brand cases. Would qualify is a moderate user and not an abuser of smart phones. Do not drop the phone frequently so my cases tend to last. Purchased this commuter case to replace a 2 year old one. Both commuter series cases wore out at the bottom port covers and both broke at the bottom of the cases. Nothing serious like some of the pictures. This is a good case for an urban or office professional where the phone doesn't oppoerate in high abuse. Consider an Ottorbox preserver or defender of you keep your phone on a clip or are rough and tumble with your phones.
