    From 1945 (we couldn't hear Glenn Miller in The Netherlands during WW II) I became a great fan of this kind of music. In 1993 some old members of the band got together to record Christmas songs in the Glenn Milller style. That is 20 years ago now. Late but not TOO late I found this nice addition to my selection of oldies and goodies!

    I was disappointed to find that Glenn Miller was not taking part in these songs as they were done after his unfortunate passing. However, when I read the liner notes and found that former and or current memebers of the Glenn Miller Orchestra were the only ones asked or permitted to take part in these recordings ( and only the best out of all musicians currently or from the GMO ), I was glad to hear it. This is not some " other " orchestra making a GMO recording. Since Glenn Miller is no longer around, this is the best thing that could have been done IMO ! Great stuff !!!

    This is a great album! It was recorded in 1992 by members of the current and former members of the Glenn Miller Orchestra. The music is orchestrated in the Glenn Miller style and digitally recorded in stereo! The songs in the album are the traditional popular Christmas songs. It is a wonderful easy listening album that everyone would enjoy! I am pleased that it is in my collection of Christmas albums.

    This album is full of "feel good" Christmas classics. They all have a Big Band feel to them. Lots of great classic songs like Silver Bells, Jingle Bells, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. I think my favorite song is the song "In the Christmas Mood". If you love Christmas music and are looking for catchy, stick in your head music, this is the album for you.
