Perfect for small spaces - but needs clear washers
I got this chair to create the illusion of more space. I am using it in tight quarters and thought this would keep the space open with the light passing through and it does! This chair comes with Black washers which would ruin the “transparent” look. I substituted/ MacGyver’ed some clear washers out of the plastic stoppers sent to cover the pointy metal legs. I couldn’t be happier with the results. See photo faux washer circled in Red, pointed out with green arrow. Yes, the back of the chair gives if you lean back with your full weight but this is not designed to be a lounge chair. I Have used this chair for a couple of months and found it to be perfect for my needs. I will say that the metal legs are not flexible and did not line up properly with the location they were supposed to be attached to. As a result this was definitely a two person job. I’ve read other reviews indicating this chair is not for larger people and I can see how that might be the case. (I am 5’3” and weigh 130 pounds). Be sure to measure the height of what you plan to use it with. The chair is just a bit low compared to some table heights.

Seems sturdy, very stylish, shipped and received within 3 days of ordering. Can’t beat it for the price. I did have 4 plastic pieces left over but the pieces aren’t listed on the instructions online so I’m not worried about them.

    Comfortable, great looking chair. If you love Mid Century design, but are on a budget, then this is the chair for you. As others have noted, the legs can be a little difficult to attach. As a previous reviewer stated, the key to installing the legs is to loosely attach the bolts that attach the legs to the chair body, thus giving you some wiggle room. There are 4 bolts, and after you have 3 installed, you just need to put a little force into bending the 4th bracket on the legs to line up with the mounting point on the chair. It's not too difficult, and is easier with a buddy. Afterwards, kick back and enjoy your newfound swank.

    Incase anyone was wondering about the chair's materials, the body is a semi-flexible plastic about 1/8" thick and the legs are 1/8" and 1/4" thick chromed round steel. The chair is light and easy to move around.

    I gave it one star simply for the price. I ordered three of these chairs, one arrived without hardware and one was scratched in more than one place on the seat and also didn't have the screw thread inside the hole so the screw wouldn't attach. The holes don't line up properly to the base so putting it together is extremely difficult as you have to bend the seat in order to screw it in. I emailed LexMod about the missing hardware several times and they wrote me back with some dates the company is closed, none of them were the dates I had emailed them so I am not sure what the point of that was.

    Also, for there is a texture on the seat, it is not smooth like the original. And the back of the base is a bit bumpy at the top, not smooth. You get what you pay for I guess.

    Chair was well packaged and protected when I received it. All hardware was in a closed bag, plenty of bubble wrap and protection. No scratch marks or dirt, very clean. I was a bit frustrated that there were no instructions, but figured it out. Put it together and when I went to sit on it, it wobbled. The legs were uneven. It was fairly shaky. We had to physically bend the metal with pliers to make it even. After unscrewing the legs, bending the metal, and putting them back on a few times, it sits pretty evenly. Frustrating. I don't think this chair is worth the $56 I paid, but it is a nice looking chair if you can figure it out. Haven't used it much yet, so only time will tell how well it holds up.

    Love these chairs! And I get tons of compliments! I have had a few issues with some of them being damaged but amazon has great customer service and replaced them fast. These look identical to the authentic Eames version and are nice alternative when on a budget. I have several of them around my dining table and are used every time we eat. We are a family of 7 and I love the fact that they are easy to keep clean. I use a bleach spray and green scrubber pad if things are bad, soap and water, even Lysol liquid cleaner...basically you can use anything to clean them and it doesn't hurt them. Yes I would recommend to anyone

    I really love how this chair looks in my room. I'm really not sure why there are reviews on how difficult this chair was to assemble. The box the chair comes in is pretty big as the white molded seat and the legs are kept in tact. All you have to do is remove the 4 felt pad stickers that are covering the holes on the white seat, and then attach the leg frame to the seat with the provided screws and washers (total of 4 screws). Attach the felt pad stickers onto the black plastic feet, stick the feet onto the ends of the leg frame, and you're done! Simple as that.

    LOVE THIS CHAIR. When setting up make sure you have the seat flipped on the floor and are mounting the legs on from the top or it will seem like they don't line up. It's so sturdy and great quality. Love the matte look of the black one I purchased and it came in no time!!!
