    Although I was wary of this app because of many poor reviews about intrusive permissions, I was quit satisfied with what I got. It has many great photo effects, cute clip art, painting and text tools, photo editing tools, etc. Also, I did not experience any problems with intrusive permissions, so the company may have fixed those problems now. This is a great app; it's a plus that I got it free :)

    Permissions are too intrusive; I downloaded it, but didn't let it install. A photo editor does not need to know where I am, period, and although I suppose it might need to know whether I'm in a call so it can get out of the way (?), and *may* need to know my number for some licensing purpose, it certainly does not need to know the other phone's number. It's a photo editor, but not one I'm going to install, not even if it's a free app of the day.

    I downloaded this pic editor from Amazon for free. It has a generous amount of control for editing most photos. I have used Corel's Paint Shop Pro on my pc and so anything less than that is second rate. A wide selection of filters are available as well as the standard editing tools. Overall, it performs quite good.

    okay, it works alright, nothing to complain. it is not all that impressive as photo shop, but for the simple tasks i have to do on pictures it is sufficient. but.... and that is a ery big BUT and the reason it get no more then one star... it hangs installing after an update. it hangs and hangs and hangs... or weeks on end now. and it prevents the amazon store to install other apps and updates! this should not be possible!

    This app has had my attention for the last 2 hours. Doctoring up photos, creating my own wallpapers, & wowing me, every step of the way.

    One particular feature that I enjoy using is the "stamp" tool and being able to cut out an image for inserting into the main background! I have the Samsung Note 4 & love how accurately I can cut out an image using the S Pen! This app is GREAT for my phone, & I am very impressed!

    I look forward to more improvements as updates roll out, keep up the good work guys!

    PicsPlay Pro is a photo editor that's actually surprisingly powerful given the limitations of the phone/tablet touch interface. When you first load up the app, you are greeted by a clean starting canvas with all the major features are readily available. I thought the app's learning curve wasn't bad at all - I was up and running within minutes. The developer included a nice user's manual that walks you through the app's features if you need it. In addition, there's a link under the Settings section that takes you to another tutorial on YouTube. I want to quickly note that it's also here under Settings where you can change the default save location for your edited photos. I think at least one other reviewer had mentioned he/she couldn't find the saved photos afterwards.

    When you're loading the photo, the app asks about the desired resolution. The "Maximum" wasn't full resolution of the original - perhaps it's due to the hardware limitations of the mobile devices this app is designed for. Once you've loaded a photo, you have access to a wide range of tools (crop, exposure, color, white balance, sharpening, histogram, etc) and filters. The ability to add text to the photos is pretty handy, too. A very useful feature is the edit history located in the top right corner. It allows you to step back and forth through your entire edit history, and also clear/reset the history if desired.

    The app's permissions are reasonable. The internet access is probably for the links to the YouTube tutorial and developer's other apps. The one possible negative is that the app does include Flurry analytics, which tracks usage patterns and could potentially be a privacy concern if the developer isn't using it responsibly.

    Pro:
    -clean and intuitive user interface (learning curve not too bad at all)
    -lots of filters and photo editing tools
    -easily accessible edit history

    Con:
    -limitations in resolution
    -presence of Flurry analytics

    Overall, this is a pretty powerful photo editor for your phone or tablet. Obviously, it's not going to replace a PC with Photoshop, but it works surprisingly well for the basic editing needs. As today's free app of the day, it's definitely worth a look.

    While most of us have been used to the default editor for Android, it sometimes pays to get a better editor. PicsPlay Pro does the job well, giving additional options. It asks at the beginning which size should be used. I used the largest and it worked perfectly on my Nexus 7 (2012). Processing is fast and effects are good. Love it!

    Ich erhielt Pics Play Pro in einer der Aktionen kostenlos, testete sie daraufhin und nutze sie jetzt hauptsächlich.

    Die App ist sehr umfangreich. Die Funktionen sind jedoch nicht ganz so intuitiv zu erreichen, wie bei anderen Apps. Was aber nicht den Eindruck vermitteln soll, dass diese App kompliziert wäre. Sie ist trotzdem sehr gut zu bedienen. Sie arbeitet sehr gut, allerdings nicht immer 100% flüssig. Dies ist aber eher ein Schönheitsmakel.

    Umfang 5/5:
    Ich habe bisher einige Fotoapps (~10, kostenlos oder Amazon Aktion) genutzt, allerdings habe ich die Masse an Apps noch lange nicht im Überblick. Bisher hat diese App den größten Umfang. Ich nutze vor allem Filter wie "color splash" (nur eine Farbe wird gezeigt, der Rest SW) oder ähnliches. Hier ist die Auswahl groß und vor allem brauchbar, da es wirklichsich abgrenzende Kategorien gibt. Zudem lässt sich Text einfach und mit sehr vielen Anpassungsmöglichkeiten einfügen.

    Der Support antwortete (englisch) schnell auf ein Problem, das ich ihm mitteilte (Absturz bei Text nach Update auf Android 5.0) und brachte wenig später ein Update raus. Seit dem läuft die App wieder tadellos.

    Edit: Ich hatte nun auch nach Veröffentlichung des Updates einen Bug, der die App beim Laden eines Fotos jedes Mal beendete. Neuinstallation behob das Problem. Da ich nicht ausschließen kann, dass dieses Problem wegen der Google Fotos App (mit der ich nicht ganz glücklich bin) auftrat, gibt es für mich keinen Grund die App schlechter zu bewerten.

    Ich nutze im Moment fast ausschlieslich Picsplay und Perfectly Clear (va. Porträts) zum Nachbearbeiten meiner Fotos. Picsplay liefert für die Standardfotos so ziemlich alles, was ich brauche.
    Preis/Leistung ist bei Apps Einstellungssache und mir fehlt ein Überblick über Fotoapps, deswegen möchte ich kein Fazit dazu abgeben.
