I changed the cartridge myself and saved hundreds
Plumber quoted me $275 to fix the little leak coming from the valve handle of my faucet. I found the QR code for my faucet on the cold water tube under the sink. I was able to find the exact cartridge for my Delta Olmstead faucet on Amazon. It came the next day. I removed the old cartridge and had to soak it in vinegar to dissolve the calcium in order to remove the quarter turn stop, which you will need on the new cartridge after that it was only a matter of minutes, dropping it in, tightening the bolt and popping the handle back on.

We had a slow drip from our bathroom faucet so I went searching for a replacement stem assembly. Unfortunately I had no idea what faucet model we have, there is no way to view the underside of it to read any model numbers. Our apartment was built 5½ years ago but we were not given any documentation as to what model fixtures we have. So unfortunately I initially ordered a 25513 stem assembly which may work for older versions. When I pulled the old one out of our faucet I saw that those were not the correct ones.

Cut the water supply off underneath the faucet first - that was the hardest part of this process. We have those push/pull shut off valves which require a lot of effort to pull up to close. I had to ask a neighbor who could get better leverage in the bathroom cabinet to pull them up.

Once I got these valves which are an exact match for the old ones they were very easy to install. Pull the old ones out first to compare to the images of the ones you want to order. No o-rings, or springs, or seats to mess with on this model. They just slide right in. The one you pull out from the hot side may take some effort to wiggle out due to deposits or minor corrosion.

As someone from Delta responded to my question, there is a down pointing arrow on the lower(black) body that should be on the inside toward the faucet on both hot and cold side. There are tabs on the body that go into the notches on the brass body underneath. You just have to orient the stem on each side so that the handles will rotate open and closed in the proper directions. Just match the position with the ones you removed. Then snugly tighten the big nut that’s under the handles, turn the water back on (it was easier pushing those valves down to turn the water on), and you’re done. This really can be done in about 10 minutes. I ordered 2 of these to replace both the hot and cold sides. If you’re doing all this because of a leak you may as well do both, if one side is leaking odds are the other will soon enough if it isn’t already.

I had actually called a handyman to take a look at this since I had no experience with these faucets. He took one of the ones we pulled out of the faucet to try to match to new ones at a couple plumbing supply stores. He said he went to 2 of them and couldn’t find any matches and was told at one store that they had never seen this type. So being able to get these from Amazon, which are a little less expensive than from Delta, is a major convenience. The part number is the Delta part number, even though the Amazon description says Leland faucet, there must be a variety of newer Delta models these will work for.

Exact replacement part for Delta bathroom faucet. Too bad these valves seem to fail after only about 5 years already replaced 3 of them and quite expensive at $30 for a faucet that only costs a little over $100. I avoided buying off brand valve after reading those reviews. This valve fit perfectly and stopped the micro leak immediately.

    Edit:
After getting this part directly from Delta, and still having it not fit, I finally called Delta customer service, and found out the problem from talking to their helpful customer service people. I was informed that they regularly update the internal parts of their faucets, but keep the style, and what you see identical. To identify my faucet I had just looked on Delta's website, found the identical looking faucet, and ordered the replacement part for that, which had changed from what my identical looking faucet had. Delta had me check under the faucet, and find the model number, then was able to find the correct parts. On top of that Delta let me know my leak wasn't even related to the valve, I just needed to replace a gasket and spring (RP4993), which cost about $5 for a pair of two. In the end if I had just called Delta, I would have been fine, so it was really my fault (though I still think it is odd they change their internals while keeping the look identical). I presume I am not the only reviewer of this part that did the same thing.

    Original Review:
According to Delta's website, the RP60400 was the replacement part for my faucet, a 2594-DST, so against my better judgement I didn't listen to the other reviews for this product and bought it. I then thought perhaps it was just a tight fit, so I tried to jam it in there, and broke this overpriced valve, as it was not the correct size. So for those of you seeing this review, trying to purchase what Delta says to for a 2594-DST, don't, it isn't the right part.

My bathroom faucet was leaking and an internet search suggested that I needed a new cartridge. I tried to buy the cartridge at a home improvement store, but they did not have them in stock (despite their website claiming the opposite). This replacement worked perfectly but I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because there are no instructions included and it costs significantly more through Amazon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the correct fit for the Lahara 2 handle centre set faucet RP60400
Reviewed in Canada on July 5, 2019
This part does not fit the opening of the Lahara 2 handle centre set faucet which Delta says is RP60400. The base is way to big for the hole. When I phoned around my city I was told that another part might be a better fit. RP25513. I was told that there had been a change in part number. The faucet is 9 years old so maybe a change was made on the part of Delta. It really is a waste of time and energy when the part given are not correct.
