LOVE this app -- including the thumbnail! It's very different than other apps on Amazon, which is a big plus for kids and adults. The entire process is interesting, with little quirks to discover along the way (like how the skeleton reacts when you tap it and what the dinosaur does when you shake the tablet). The navigation is very easy, even for young children. My only main complaint is that the name of the dino -- even at full volume -- is said quite softly, so it's easy to miss the pronunciation. However, the rest of the audio seems fine (love the use of the "whip bird" vocal to give the whole scene an exotic feel). I think this developer should develop a whole line of "digger" apps. A new favorite.

This app is really more of an activity than a game. You get to be an archeaologist and swipe away the dirt from the bones. You keep uncovering the bones until they come together to form the skeletal dino. The app tells you how to pronounce the dino's name. Then you can press the dino button and play with your dino. They make a few movements but the dino calls are thrilling for the kids. You can also get a 360* bird's-eye view of your dino by swiping your finger upward on the screen. Very educational and fun!
Here's my wish list for updates:
    *More dinos of course!
*A list of permissions or a note saying that there arent any permissions because I'm not sure. There no note of it in the app details.
*An exit button. I had to press the home screen button to exit the game. Not sure thats really the best way to close out an app guys.
*I would love to see info buttons for each dino. Kids love learning how the dinos lived, what they ate, how many babies did they have, how long could they live, etc. It would be an easy addition to the app and really enrich it.
*Again along the lines of more dinos, we would like to see some from the ocean and some flying dinos as well. This app has the potential to really ripen into a rich learning tool. Keep it coming devs!
On that note, thanks to the developers for spending the time creating an app. It's a tedious, time consuming process! Kudos!

I bought this game for my three year old son. He was initially interested in digging up the dinosaurs, but after the first two he lost interest. it's easy to see why. although the graphics are nicely done, this is a two trick pony - you sweep the sand away then you tap the dinosaur to make it either fall apart or do some minor action. The action is neither entertaining nor educational. Plus, there are so few dinos it truly ridiculous. The positive reviews couldn't possibly be objective. Even for a preschooler, this game is lame.

I babysit a lot of kids and the majority love dinosaurs, and it's not just the boys, girls like them too. I have this on my kindle fire and I just take it along with me and they sit down quietly and take turns while I read or make them a snack. It's hilarious to listen to the little ones try and pronounce the dinosaur names. my only problem with this app is that the updates that contain the new dinosaurs don't have dinosaurs that little kids are familiar with and they all have really big names that kids don't even bother trying to remember. But other than that this is a perfect app for occupying small children and my best friend who's 16....so I guess it's either a good app for all ages or she's just special. :)

I bought this app for my 3 year old because he was starting to get into dinosaurs. After only about ten minutes, he was already bored digging the same dinosaur over again. When he was playing it though, he had fun. He would ask me what the dinosaur's name was and some of them were pretty tricky to pronounce. All in all, there were only a several dinosaurs making this app about $.10 per dinosaur. Enjoy it while you can, but know there aren't that many animals.

MY GRANDSON AND NEPHEW LOVE THIS GAME. THEY ARE LEARNING ALL ABOUT THE VARIOUS DINOSAURS AND THE NAMES, MOVES, AND SOUNDS(?). THEY TRY TO NAME THE DINOSAUR BEFORE IT IS REVEALED TO THEM. OUR LOCAL ZOO HAS A DINO-DIG AREA AND THIS GAME REMINDS US OF THAT FEATURE OF THE ZOO.

I bought this game for my sister. She's very keen on dinosaurs and enjoys palying it. The only thing that I will say is that there is no way of saving the dinosaurs you've already dug up so that you can ensure you dig up new ones, so its just chance and you can dig up the same ones again and again.
