It's perfect. I seen a review saying it broke after one week however it's metal. I can't see how this quality of metal can break in a week. It's more likely that Kohler 1068204 Cartridge Assembly broke and not this. Also, sometimes if you screw these too tight or too loose they either don't drain or won't plug. So if you face that issue try tightening or loosening it. Some plumbers tape would also probably help keep it at the set tension.It doesn't come with the rubber washer since that comes with the cartridge assembly, but it fits well and is just beautiful. Also they have a Chrome polish variety (Kohler 1068202-CP).Save yourself some money and do NOT confuse this item with Kohler 1056135-CP which is almost identical to this except it does not fit Kohler 1068204 Cartridge Assembly and had a long stem on the back.

    We needed a replacement stopper for our tub. I purchased a cheaper replacement that did not work. This one fit perfectly. Make sure you purchase the other part (pop up cartridge and gasket/seal) to go with it. This is just the top metal portion.

    Our soaking tub has the drain directly in the center and the plumber that installed it used a drain with a knob that stuck up about an inch. Needless to say this did not make for the most comfortable bath as you had to be careful not to get gouged by the knob when sitting up or lying down in the tub. This cover in combination with a kohler pop-up valve solved the problem and now we can enjoy our tub without getting jabbed in the backside.
    I did have to use a 3/8" stainless steel washer to fine tune the height of the valve to work with our drain since it was probably slightly deeper than the kohler drain that this was designed for.
