I was fortunate enough to learn of Mode One by hearing it briefly mentioned as recommended reading by Rollo Tomassi. That’s high praise. After reading this book, I’m genuinely surprised I don’t hear it mentioned more often in the Manosphere of YouTube channels and blogs. It’s an excellent book. I feel every young man should have this knowledge. This is not a silly book about PUA tricks, but way of building confidence and not getting abused by women. I see the lesson of Mode One similar to Jordon Peterson’s lesson of not being low on the Dominance hierarchy. Grow a pair of balls, communicate exactly what you want, don’t be weak and don’t let other people’s criticism shake your confidence.

As an older man with multiple attempts - and failures - under my belt, I immediately recognized I’ve been in modes 2 & 3 most of my life and that the problem lies with me, not with the women. Its the way I was raised & the disingenuous story we’re all told growing up about being a gentleman and that we must fawn over women and put them on a pedestal to win their affection. This book dispels all that garbage.

Much like the subject of the book, Mode One is written in a simple, straightforward manner and is a relatively quick and easy read. You can tell Alan Currie lives what he preaches by his writing style. He gets right to the point and every chapter, every paragraph and every sentence is clear and concise. No ambiguity. Very refreshing in contrast to Rollo Tomassi or Jordon Peterson’s writing style.

No examples of how these conversations should go are provided in the book. The implicit message is: overcome your fear, immediately approach women you’re attracted to, express your genuine intentions, and don’t let her reaction shake your confidence. Over time, you’ll learn what works and what doesn’t. The point is to take action and do it.

The principles and value systems in this book are nothing but honesty and letting your partner or stranger of interest know what your interests or desires are. We are in a society where Men and Women play too many mind games on another to get an edge over the other and have a certain amount of power in those games. There are so many games being played, its common practice and a "norm". The point where telling a woman what you REALLY want, seems "bad guy" type and even "rude".

-What Women Want in a Man by Bruce Bryans = A short and sweet book about what triggers a woman to be feminine around men. Absolutely informative and when reading it, you will have many "ohhh" moments.

-The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer = A book on spirituality that teaches you to be present (very important to be present when approaching women), not caring what others think of you, how to be aware of your thoughts, and overall inner peace. THIS IS GOLD!

-Upfront and Straightforward by Alan Roger Currie = The sequel to Mode One. This time, he breaks down the motives and beliefs behind Manipulative women and men. More so on the women side because in today's society, women play great mind games (Wholesome Pretenders and Erotic Hypocrites) and why you should be the man and not be afraid of these women. I recommend this last because you must TRULY READ MODE ONE MULTIPLE TIMES TO GRASP THE COMPLETE BASIS AND IDEOLOGIES OF IT!!
