PROS:
1.) Does NOT noticeable change the feel of your mattress. This product does not feel like you are sleeping on a vinyl shower curtain, yet it also does not feel like you are sleeping on a jersey sheet either (it is somewhere in between the two).
2.) Lightweight/Thin YET durable. Dry on LOW and you will be fine.
3.) Does NOT have any noticeable effect on the temperature of the mattress when sleeping.
4.) IS WATERPROOF! This was my main concern as I have multiple cats. Whenever I go on vacation if my caretaker is not diligent, the cats will get made at me not being there and take revenge on the mattress. I do not have any fears with this product and my memory foam mattress.
CONS:
1.) Price is a little high at $40 (for the Queen size) + $4 standard shipping.
2.) Is NOT a mattress pad. This is not necessarily a con, unless you were seeking a waterproof mattress pad.
3.) One problem does exist when drying. It will ball up in the dryer and not dry easily. It is almost best to air dry if you have the option.
4.) NOT fail proof. If you have cats, keep them away from it when it is not covered by your sheets and blanket. Their claws would probably damage the protector if they were able to get at it when not covered by your normal bedding.
This product does a great job of protecting your mattress. One big tip for those who do have mattress pads already... place this on top of the mattress pad. Thus, if there is an accident you will not have to wash the mattress pad underneath the mattress protector.
