- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2021I searched long and hard for a low profile driver for 1/4" bits. Lot's of questionable quality out there with other brands of low profile drivers, but something drew me to this one.
I recently got myself into a tight spot with some bolts and I have A LOT of tools....but it was a "my kingdom for a low profile driver" situation. Nothing I had could do what this little thing does. What should have taken me 5 minutes, took me more like 30 minutes of complete aggravation. So for the price, this is a very valuable tool to me. The quality of it is very impressive. it adds nearly ZERO in length to the bit your are trying to use.
It also surprised me a great to learn that they figured out a clever way to retain the bit so it doesn't fall out.
If you already having a ratcheting 1/4" wrench, you "could" use that, but you will be lacking two major components. 1, it will be difficult to apply force towards the bolt. 2, your bit can easily just fall out and you could drop it and lose it. So this is definitely a unique and high value little thing to have.
I love it!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2020The tool is perfect for working on a vehicle in tight positions. It holds the bit very well, had no issues. It's not difficult to remove the bit when you would like to. I was able to apply all the torque I needed to without breaking the tool or stripping anything. Very happy to have it in my ever growing home mechanic tool supply. I'll update if anything changes. 5-4-2020.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2017this appears to be a high quality compact tool and cost a lot less than the Topeak model. I haven't really used it much yet, but standard 1/4in hex bits fit and lock into place. The gears are very precise. I'm planning to use it as part of a compact tool kit that I'm putting together to put in the car/camper or travel bag. I've also got it paired with 1/4" nut drivers (that also fit), 4in vise grips, a multi-tool and a small crescent wrench. This should allow me to actually fix most little issues short of an engine rebuild. Multi-tools are great when that is all you have access too, but for a lot less money you can build a small tool kit that is much more capable.

Title: I Like it so much I’ve already bought a second one
For many years I have carried a 1/4” ratchet driver in my tool belt, both for getting into tight spaces, for general use, and for when I need more torque than a screwdriver provides but still want to “feel” what I’m doing.
A few months ago my trusty ratchet driver died, and I began searching around here on amazon and elsewhere for a replacement. Thanks to the good folks who take time to leave thoughtful reviews, I decided to give this ratchet a try, and I must say it’s a huge step up from my old one.
It has a much finer ratchet effect due to it’s large number of teeth (52 I think). That means it works much more quickly in confined spaces. It also gives it a lovely feel, like a fine precision instrument (which, indeed it is).
The head is tiny, even smaller than my original tool, which is a huge plus.
All parts, with the exception of the grip area of the handle, are steel, including the tiny reverse lever. I mention this because I recall one review that stated it was plastic.
The bit is held tightly in place by friction, and there is a through hole which makes it easy to remove the tightly held bits. You can rotate the black metal ring for quick threading, and use the handle to finish when things tighten up.
For the modest price, this is a very good value.
If you constantly use 1/4” drive bits as I do, you should definitely consider this high quality, modestly priced tool.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2024A great tool for special small places!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2017Love this tool. I install automated robotic industrial equipment where metric hex fasteners are used extensively in very tight places. I use this daily and it works great. The depth of the tool, from the tip of the bit to the top of the ratchet is as small as I have seen and the 48 tooth ratchet is very nice when space is tight. I've put more force on this than I was comfortable with, but it handled it fine. The thumb screw top is nice, but is a little difficult to turn. The lever to reverse the ratchet is pretty small and can be a bit stubborn. A co-worker paid more for a Kobalt brand that fell apart after daily use for 6 weeks.
Would definately buy again .... Oh Wait ... I did buy it again after I left it in Louisville on an install!
