We're going to be full time RVing soon, and were wanting a cage that would reasonably fit. Well, this is perfect! Not so big that it takes up more space than we can use, not so small that it can't fit a hammock or two, some toys, etc. Can't wait to get it all done up, and take the fuzzies with us. (We'll be ordering more of these cages for the other ratties...unfortunately none get along so we can't have one or two large cages).
It goes together easily, though the hooks do have to be bent after inserting the wires, otherwise it can open at the corners. The bottom secures nicely with the provided hooks. I'll be getting little clips to make sure the doors don't unexpectedly open up, since it doesn't take much pressure to do so. All in all, super easy fixes to make this the perfect cage for our purposes.
***Editing upong receipt of the second cage. The second one only came with one clip to attach the cage to the base.***
Update 2...contacted Ware through their website, and they're sending me a clip to replace the one that was missing. Got to love responsive customer service representatives.

You need pliers, but surprisingly sturdy
You have to bend the wires with pliers or it will fall apart before you even get to step 3, but the instructions didn't say that. The platforms took forever to attatch, and I also had to bend those to stay, but I feel like it would have been easier if I had done that before putting the bottom on. Also if you dont have felt to cover the platforms, mens socks with the ends cut off work very well!The chew proof stuff makes it quiet when she chews on her cage bars (she throws tantrums sometimes, she has many toys hidden in her burrow). A problem we had with her old cage was that the bars were weak, so when she would run on her wheel, even though its a silent one, it would bend the bars a bit and make an AWFUL thunking noise throughout the house. The bars on this one hold up well, and I can barely hear it.It doesnt have a thing to hold a water bottle, but I just bent some fencing wire to shape and that's working pretty well.The bottom platform came a little warped, but Vendetta the Teddy Bear hamster loves it because she doesn't like ramps, and can just climb up to the levels and hang off of it.

Sturdy with minor adjustments, decent size but definitely not for multiple rats.

Excellent value for the price!
We unknowingly bought a pregnant rat and ended up with 15 rats altogether! What a disaster! But we resolved to care for them all and so we looked for inexpensive cages. We bought one of these cages and, although a bit fiddly to assemble, we were impressed with its size and quality. True to the manufacturer's words, the purple base and the wire cage are chew-proof wire and the doors close securely, and we have never had an escapee.NicolaExcellent value for the price!

We decided that we liked the cage but that we needed even more room for the seven males we ended up with. Seeing as the boys were still small, we decided to keep them all together for a while longer and we bought a second identical cage. We zip-tied them together, and cut through the cage with wire cutters. We added a piece of plastic pipe between the two cages and now the rats have twice the space.
Cleaning is fairly easy as the top pieces lift off the bases as one connected piece.
We paid about $32 per cage and we bought two of them. So for $64 we got a nice, big cage that can accommodate quite a few rats. And that's much more cage than you'd normally find at a pet store for the low price.
As the babies are getting bigger (they're about 7 weeks in these pics), we will likely take a couple more out and rehome them into another cage. We've adopted a few out to rat-loving homes too.
At the moment, we have one adult male and four males 'babies' (nearly fully grown) in these two connected cages and they seem very happy, with plenty of room.
Shipping was very fast too!
Highly recommend this cage.
