Preppy pens work great. When I ran out of ink I tried these and I like the blue black color. The little shaker ball inside is a good way to keep the ink flowing. Not water proof but it does hold some shape when water is applied over it on mixed media paper. Amazon quickly delivered to my door next day.

    I had a small pile of these Platinum Blue-Black cartridges that came with some other Platinum pens I had bought. They sat in a drawer until I got a deal on a customer-return Platinum Curidas pen without the converter for bottled inks. Lacking anything else onhand I put one of the carts in the Curidas.

    I really like the ink - combined with the Curidas' EF nib, Platinum BB works well on even the crummiest paper, and the color is even pretty nice for a "manufacturer default" ink. Water resistance is a definite plus. I did end up buying a converter for the Curidas, but I also purchased a pack of these cartridges for use with this pen. It's a very nice utilitarian ink that suits the utilitarian style of the Curidas well.
