Like: hoped the base would be heavy to keep it from tipping over, and it is - I tested it using a towel on one side only, and it stood firm; assembly was very easy and took less than 10 minutes, using the descriptive picture included; my 30x58" towels fit folded with extra space at the bottom & can be left open to dry with the open-ended arms (picture); it looks nice and takes up very little floor space.Dislike: none.

    Updated: After less than a year, the pole has begun rusting. I don't understand. No water remains on it as I wipe it with a dry cloth to clean. The base and towel holder are fine.

    This product is amazing! I needed a towel holder as my new home does not have any wall mounted ones. I do not want to start putting holes in the walls, so I wanted a free standing towel holder, as I didn't like ones on my bathroom counter. This freestanding towel rack is sturdy, with a heavy base, tall enough, and the towel holder portion is large enough for a regular towel folded in half. I wanted it for hand towels and washcloths. Very happy with the purchase. May purchase another one.

    also the s shaped arms are longer then appears on the image so a bath towel doesn't have to be folded (can be snaked around to the center)

    I like this floor standing towel rack, plus the cost was good. However, there was a small dent on top of the base, bummer. Also, in the directions, when the bottom pole is screwed into the base, there is no way of knowing: 1. IF you just 'sit' it in the base or 2. IF you should turn it till it tightens....I say this, because it seems like it is not tight, I tried to screw it in, but, to no avail. I do have this on a 'flat' type carpet, is just a tad wobbly. I will give it a week, to see if I want to keep or return. It does look nice, I love Satin Nickel, it fits in a small space next to bathroom doorway, so no more trying to figure out what to do with my clothes after taking them off or my pj's. I think for someone that needs a free standing towel rack, this would be awesome & look great in a bathroom.

    OMG! I should have gotten this a long time ago! Very sturdy and larger than I imagined even though I did see the measurements it's not the same as seeing it in person. This can hold two sets of towels on each, bath towel, hand and face cloth X's 2. This is also PERFECT for children who can't reach a high towel bar... as long as the child is two AMD a half feet tall its do-able for them to dry their hands without help. The base is very heavy and won' be tipped over easily. This was packaged very snugly in it's box. There was a tiny scratch on one of the towel bars but not worth sending back because a towel covers it and I can fix it if it really bothered me but its very tiny so why bother. I got this in Bronze but they also sell it in Satin Nickel too. I'd recommend buying this. I hate towel bars on the walls, I'd rather hang Art than a towel bar a kid could swing from LOL

    This is a nice, sturdy, good looking towel rack but I returned it for two reasons: it was damaged when it arrived - it had a big dent in the base. I suspect it had been repacked and reshipped as the outer box was not damaged. It was also bigger than I needed.

    First off, nobody paid me for this review. Second, I've noticed similar items are lumped together, so this review is for the Taymore Standing Towel Valet. Our guest bath doesn't have towel bars, so this one fit the bill perfectly. It stands about 3' tall and extends out around 1'. I only buy 56" and 58" towels, and they still clear the floor by a good 6" so don't worry about that. The towel bar isn't at all wobbly, it's nice and sturdy. We double our wet towels over it and they're completely dry by the next morning. I think my husband put it together in about 5 minutes, with maybe a wrench to tighten something up. I can't see how anything will ever break or give out if we take care of it, and that's exactly what we're going to do. I'm 100% happy with it.

    Nice design, and seemed like it would be sturdy. However, the machining was so bad that we simply could not get it screwed together! We even tried using pliers (protecting the finish with a cloth), and that didn't work. The parts were so poorly matched that it couldn't be completely assembled. Turning ends around worked for the main vertical component, but the top finial, which holds on the arms, would not screw into the vertical pole. Why is quality control left up to the customer these days?! Unfortunately, my bathroom remodel wasn't finished and ready for this item until long past the return date.

    The base on this thing heavy as hell! I don't know who said it tips over easily, but they must be using it as a stake to hold a dog's Leah it something. This thing ain't falling over because of towels, I'll tell you that. It's a nice height, it was simple as all get out to put it together.
