Coraline - Coulais, Bruno (Composer) Combining the visionary imaginations of two premier fantasists, dirctor Henry Selick ("The Nightmare Before Christmas") and author Neil Gaiman (Sandman), "Coraline" the movie is a wondrous and thrilling, fun and suspenseful, adventure that honors and redefines two moviemaking traditions. Based on the best-selling book "Coraline" the movie is a stop-motion animated feature, and - as the first one to be conceived and photographed in stereoscopic 3-D, is unlike anything moviegoers have ever experienced before. The Soundtrack, produced by award-winning French composer Bruno Coulais, sets the perfect tone for the suspenseful and wonderful world created in the film, and features a new original song by They Might Be Giants.

We came late to Coraline but after watching the film a few times we decided to get the soundtrack. It's exactly what you expect, the great soundtrack from the film. Very lovely. I had hoped that there might be a longer version of the They Might Be Giants song, it's so short & sweet in the film. It's still short & sweet on the soundtrack (so you may find yourself replaying it dozens of times). A definite must-have for fans of the film or soundtrack fans. I have hundreds of soundtracks in my collection and still Coraline is a lovely, unique musical experience.
I LOVE the movie. I actually watch it rather frequently, which surprises even me (lol). But I also LOVE a good score. A good score can really help make a movie the experience it is. This one does just that. Haunting, but full of the fun that the movie is. If you love the movie, you should get this.
If you have not heard this and enjoy Thomas Newman, James Newton Howard or Alexander Desplat you will enjoy the creative work contained here. The Secret of the Kells is another wonderful score that both he and his wife composed.
From the very first frame of the film this soundtrack had me mesmerized. It was a huge part of my enjoyment of the film. I hear bits of Danny Elfman, Thomas Newman and the Mediaeval Baebes but make no mistake about it, Mr. Coulais is a total original. I especially enjoy the utilization of odd percussive elements and the children's choir. The music takes you many places- childhood, the light and dark, sweet then sinister. I love entering other worlds and this music makes it easy to do.
Awesome soundtrack. Bought it for my 5 year old boy who loves Coraline. Loves to listen during bath time or on the road. My 7 year old loves to hear it, too.
Love this CD. we watch the movie often in my house and the music is delightful. If you want something different, enjoyable and whimsical, you'll love this. Most of the lyrics are in Hungarian but don't let that put you off, it's just beautiful.
The choir that sings the tracks are very haunting though the music sounds more contemporary than timeless. Very rich but too short. The end credits track is very catchy but choir singing and whispering give it an eerie quality. a worthy scare.
Entrega Amazon: perfecta.
i love coraline and the soundtrack made it its about an hour long and its also a visual to see if you can visualize that part in the movie when its play
Aussi étrange que le film, avec des sons surprenants mélangés à des mélodies sublimes !!! Un disque fantastique qui nous fait voyager dans le monde merveilleux et terrible de Coraline !!! Bruno Coulais a fait des prouesses !!!
