Product Description

Serve salad in style. Our Spring Salad Tongs feature a practical, one-handed design for simple and easy use. This salad serving tool is made from gorgeous acacia hardwood, providing you with beautiful, rich, shimmering colors and long-lasting use. Pair this set with one of our high quality wooden salad bowls for a complete dining room table arrangement. Decorative functionality at its finest.

**Use & Care**
Wash Ironwood Gourmet products in warm, soapy water and thoroughly rinse with clean water. Do not soak. To dry, prop up off of counter to allow all surfaces to air dry evenly. Wood products should never be washed in the dishwasher.

After drying, rejuvenate and protect the wood by rubbing it down with Ironwood Butcher Block Oil. Apply the oil liberally and allow it to soak in thoroughly before use. Regular application of our Butcher Block Oil will prevent cracking and preserve the rich natural colors of the wood.

- Delivered in timelymanner.- Products is beautifully made.- Items is poorly packaged.  As shown in the picture,  there's nothing to hold it securely in place. Luckily,  nothing is broken.  Amazon need to educate their Warehouse employees  and hold them responsible for...  and they need  take pride in their work and do a better job of packaging.... not just look at it as " Oh-well, it's just a damn job!". After all,  it is packaged and shipped by Amazon.- As for the items,  I love it! It reminds me of the timespent with my great-grandparents. I was worried it might be sanded down too much that coconut shells becomes too thin and week but all is good.- Spoons carved out of a single piece of wood, not a clue together wood.- It is fairly priced because it's requires no  engineering or design efforts.These items reminded me of my great-grandparents. They use coconut shells for everything in the kitchen. These environmental friendly  bowls/cups is naturally insulated. Unlike other man-made material it has 0% health risks,  and keep coffee hot but not burning my hands.

    I've been meaning to buy a pretty set of salad tongs forever, but it's one of those things that I never think about until I need them, which I did over the recent days of Christmas. It was too late to do anything about it when we wanted them, but after everyone went home, I came to Amazon to have a look around. I saw these and thought they were perfect. They arrived this morning, and I'm very happy with them.

    I love that they're made from a sustainable and renewable resource, the Acacia tree. Mine are a gorgeous dark color, which I just love. The spring mechanism is a mystery to me, I have no idea how it works, but it does! I think it's all in the brilliant cutting, shaping, and positioning of the two pieces because there's no sign of a metal spring that I can see. Of course that doesn't mean there isn't one, it could just mean that it's very well hidden.

    They're finished with a very smooth surface which is lovely to touch and hold in my hand. I can see where it would be nice if they folded flat, but I just put mine in a drawer that has extra space in it (yes, I have one of those, don't know how it happened) so it's not a problem for me.

    I would recommend these tongs to anyone who wants a pretty, well made, and functional set.

    This product is like what other people said. It does not lay flat in your drawer. it is a good set of tongs, either way. I wanted wooden salad tongs. That's what I got with these. I would have preferred a pair that lays flat, but I'm happy with the price and the quality. They're nice. As with all wooden kitchen products, they will dry out if you do not wash and dry them as directed. Having wood oil would be helpful in keeping them lasting and nice for a long time. I don't think it's absolutely necessary though.
