Previous to taking ubiquinol, I was taking CoQ10 by Natural Factors. Someone recommended I switch to ubiquinol because I'm over 40 and CoQ10 is harder to assimilate. From what I understand, most companies purchase CoQ10 and Ubiquinol from Kaneka so there appears to be very little difference between brands. After doing a little online research, I chose LifeExtension because they add shilajit to their formulation to increase absorption. I take it after breakfast (usually an omelet) along with Carlson fish oil for greater absorption. It seemed like I feel a little more energy and clarity after taking ubiquinol. I never noticed that with the CoQ10. This may or may not be a placebo effect. Regardless, with all the health benefits of ubiquinol, I'll continue to take it. And Amazon offered the lowest price.

They were unusable
The bottle was deformed from what I suspect is a high exposure to heat. The gel caps were melted and conpletely stuck to each other. I couldn't even take them out of the bottle to try to separate them. I tried starting a replacement or return but it was impossible since it is a product not elegible for return. I'm very disappointed these are not cheap supplements, I should get a replacement or my money back..
