    It's really hard to find decent stand-alone needles for cross-stitch. Until the only good ones I could find were the ones that came with the kits. The other ones are way too sharp, so not only do they poke you but they catch on the aida fabric, which requires a dull needle. These were EXACTLY what I was looking for, I was so happy to have found them! Nice big needle eyes, not too sharp, As I said, absolutely perfect for cross-stitch, I am delighted to have found these!

    These were very small for cross stitching in my opinion. The eye is difficult to get even a single thread of embroidery foll through. Not ideal for the project my daughter was working on. She had to reduce to a single strand, which made her X's very small. It was ok for her to practice and learn, but the final product wasn't good with these needles. I still give them all their stars because this could be my fault for not researching enough, but I figured if they were called "cross stitch needles" that you'd be able to get the floss throgh them.
