    Spinout was released in 1966 and delivers more fun from Elvis and the cast. I tend to enjoy the Elvis movies that have fun, good songs and a cast that I like. This movie has all three. The beautiful Shelley Fabares makes her second appearance in an Elvis film. She is always a joy to watch. I would say that she looks her most beautiful here. Her TV dad Carl Betz plays her father. He is wonderful and funny. Jimmy Hawkins, Jack Mullaney & Deborah Walley are part of the band that travel with Elvis in Spinout. They have great chemistry together and have many funny moments together. Warren Berlinger and Will Hutchins are also along for the ride. The people that made most of the Elvis films knew how to cast likable actors that had good chemistry together. I think that is why I and many others enjoy these films so much.

    A great Elvis movie, and I would alert viewers to pay attention to Dodie Marshall, who plays Susan toward the end of the movie. Notice especially the very last scene where she is playing the drums while Elvis sings. She is amazingly cute and totally steals the scene. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. My heart was aflutter.

    Elvis maybe or someone else must have noticed her too because she was the female lead in his next movie, Easy Come, Easy Go. Apparently what happened to her is a mystery. After making Easy Come, Easy Go, she seems to have vanished from the face of the Earth. A real shame. She was beautiful, talented and mesmerizing.
