- Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2013It completely amazes me that more than half of Rosenrot was recorded for Reise, Reise, but never made it to the album. That just goes to show you how much excellent music Rammstein is capable of making!!
The tracks featured on Rosenrot are: Benzin, mann gegen mann, rosenrot, spring, wu bist du, stirb nicht vor mir, zerstören, hilf mir, te quiero puta, feuer und wasser and ein leid.
There are quite a few heavy songs on Rosenrot, tracks like benzin, spring and zerstören have great riffs and they really bang. Other tracks like rosenrot, wu bist du, stirb nicht vor mir and hilf mir are a little bit slower, but extremely powerful, as they speak about different forms of love and loneliness. Then you have the track te quiero puta (one of my favorites from the album, featuring the legendary Carmen Zapata), it is a combination of mariachi and hard metal riffs, I absolutely loved it.
Rosenrot is a great album because it features such a variety of songs, and any Rammstein fan should buy it immediately!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2016I give five star to anything Rammstein. Even at 61 years old I have the Rammstein R+ insignia on the back window of my Isuzu Trooper. I think this one is as good as any including Reise Reise. The songs on this one are a bit more subtle but they do stand on their own. I did not find one that I thought to be filler. Rammstein does not put filler on their albums. I have Lieb is fur alle da on order which is the last one I have to get but you get a lot of that one on Live in Amerika which I also highly recommend. These guys are a product and have too much respect to put out crap. I highly recommend all six albums and the four concert videos to anyone even my grandma.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2011Fantastic and underrated Rammstein Album. This will most likely be an album that you don't get into the first time you hear it, but trust me, the more you play the album the more you get into it and enjoy it. When i first heard the album I wasn't into it but the more I heard it, The more I absolutely loved and got into it. I personally have no problems comparing it to Reise Reise. You really have to play this album more then once you really get into it but once you do, you won't be putting this album down :) I have no problems adding this 1 to my Rammstein collection :D

- Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2005Even though Rammstein released a new album only a year after their 2004 release, "Reise, Reise," and several of the songs on "Rosenrot" are b-sides from the 2004 recording sessions, it is an unfair statement to say the new album is "Reise, Reise: Part 2." Sure, the chugga-chugga riffs that 1998's "Sehnsucht" had are still mostly missing, but "Rosenrot" is not nearly as dark or brooding as its predecessor. And six of the songs on here are "Reise, Reise" out-takes, but five of the songs are new, and it's hard to tell which are which. On this, Rammstein's fifth record, the German industrial metal machine offsets artsy songs with full-fledged rockers. "Wo Bist Du" contrasts guitar crunch with a wind instrument of some kind, and some beeping synthesizers; track six is almost a power ballad with soft strumming and female singing; and "Ein Lied" even finds a choir joining the scene. But, conversely, there is still plenty of stuff to snap your neck to. "Spring" has snarling vocals in the verses and heavy, pounding riffs in the choruses; "Zerstoren" has chug and churn guitars which almost make your speakers vibrate; and "Hilf Mir" ends with explosive riffs that take turns with cool piano playing. Two other standout tracks are "Mann Gegen Mann" and "Feuer und Wasser." These songs make good use of a soft-loud dynamic, with restrained verses and thunderous choruses. All in all, "Rosenrot" is not Rammstein's finest work to date, but it is yet another very solid album from a very solid band. It isn't a mindblowing album, but it will surely satisfy and solidify a strong fan base. If you're a fan and you can find it, definitely grab it.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2018I am so glad they are finally releasing these on vinyl! I love that they all are the heavy weight ones that aren't so flimsy. The packaging is great and the sleeves are well made. The artwork on the book is nice and the lyrics are easy to read. Well worth the 30 bucks for such great music in a well-made format.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2017Sounds amazing, clean and has been remastered in the since it sounds like the vocals have been re-recorded or the songs have been tweaked from the original. Which in this case is good. Also love how a giant lyric book is included with beautiful photographs for the album. Love Rammstein, love this album and will be getting all 6 studio albums in this format.

4.0 out of 5 stars Buitengewoon goede plaat!
Rammstein kan mij met dit album bekoren. De melodieën, de melancholische sfeer en de meesterlijke zang zijn zalig om naar te luisteren. Het artwork is machtig.

5.0 out of 5 stars potencia en estado puro
Canción de amor a un barco, supongo yo porque de la letra no entiendo nada pero ese quebra hielos parece ser el destinatário de la canción. Muy bueno. Raro es que este rock heavy não seja protagonizado por melenudos.
