It would've sucked under different circumstance, but in my case it was just a minor inconvenience. If you're gonna run one of these, maybe buy 2 and keep a spare in the glove box/trunk, because you never know when you're gonna need it.

    The one thing that messes with the fuel system in a boat most is if crud from the gas tank goes into the carbs, this clogs up the needle like passages, in the carb, and its a costly repair to take the carb apart, and clean out the blockages, ofcourse in a outboard theres the fuel pump it has a screen, its like swiss cheese..micron like dirt and crud from the gastank goes through it and gets stuck in the carb, the boat runs like crap!....This filter gets that junk before it even reaches the primer bulb, much more the carbs, you cut the gas tank line just out of the fuel tank, ahead of the primer bulb, use the supplied clamps...and done, dont forget to fill some fuel into the filter before you put it together, or your motor will not prime, this is very important! I love this filter, I keep a extra onboard my boat! This is a car gas filter!!
