I bought some X-acto brand #2 blades because the seller was using a picture that said "Made in USA". But X-acto company (now a subsidiary of Elmer's Glue and sub-subsidiary of some huge corporate conglomerate) has now sold us out and their stuff is all Chinese now. So the X-acto brand went back to Amazon, and I ordered these. They are very well made (in USA) and they are very sharp. Buy American!

Based in Paterson, New Jersey, Excel Blades has been operating for over 25 years as one of the leading knife, blades and precision tool companies in the United States. These are your run-of-the-mill replacement blades. The tips snap like they always do, perhaps a bit faster than other brands. I'll continue to use these until they reinvent the wheel. While I've got you here, has anyone discovered a way to keep these X-acto blades from tilting inside the base? How frustrating is that when you're cutting along and the whole blade shifts and becomes tilted. Flawed design I say. Ah well, carry on.
