Switching Goals (DVD)

They may look identical, but these high-spirited twins differ wildly. Teen superstars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen ("Full House," "Two of a Kind") executive produce and star in the rousing comedy of two sisters who hatch the ultimate scheme to find out how their other half lives--by Switching Goals. Sweet, neat Emma (Ashley Olsen) cares more for fashion than sports, to the consternation of her competitive father, soccer coach Jerry (Eric Lutes--"Caroline in the City"). While Emma wishes she could score points with Jerry like Sam (Mary-Kate Olsen), her scrappy tomboy sister, Sam envies Emma's natural boy-catching talents. Ending up on rival coed soccer teams, the girls trade places to help their dad win the championship--and Sam win the school hunk. But when overly analytical Mom coaches Jerry's opposition and the twins' charade unravels, the whole family learns a few lessons beyond good sportsmanship.

    My youngest is currently watching Full House and is a fan of the Olsen Twins so we rented this film to show her some of their other films. She absolutely loved it!!

    My wife had seen it before so she was certainly feeling nostalgic about it. From my daughter's perspective though, she really enjoyed it and was thinking of her own schemes to pull on us parents. From an adult perspective, don't expect too much. It's pretty predictable and we were definitely questioning some of the parental decisions in the movie. However, considering how much my daughter enjoyed it, it earned my 5 star rating!

Only telling their father that,they find a way of having each others expressons to switch and get mom to still think they are the same girls with their proper names. Anyway sooner or later,their mom finds out about their little secret and a boy that came along that goes out with emma. But soon enofe,their mom goes as the leader for the hurricanes team and their father is the leader of the buzzards. In the end emma becomes goaly,and it's twin against twin. Absolutely brilliant,especcially for any mary-kate and ashley fans.
