    Great book!
    Well written.
Through beautiful words, it takes you back to years of President Lazaro Cardenas in south of Mexico, for indians and the high class world.

No defrauda y emociona.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Balun-Cananán Review
Reviewed in Canada on December 10, 2024
A story about life and customs in the 1930s on the southern border of Mexico. Written by a renowned Mexican writer who recounts the little-known customs and language of the 1930s and describes the transition suffered by the wealthy class after losing their extensive properties.

A book suitable for those who want to learn Spanish, bathed in words and expressions, the book teaches us the social hierarchies that are still so palpable in any society today. Hierarchies that we are slowly changing.
