This book was originally published to be completely free but somehow someone got their hands on it and is selling it now.
I found the book in a yard sale and was blown away by how gentle and simple it explains meditation both for beginners and advanced meditators. I just found out on Wikipedia ([...]) that more than a million people, including the Thai Royal Family, attended his funeral. Wow.

Inside this inspiring book is written:

"A Taste of Freedom is printed for free distribution under the financial help of Phraya and Khunying Chavaki Banharn Fund......."

This book was never intended to be sold and can be downloaded freely via most search engines.

I was a little suprised to see this book being sold, seeing how I gott mine via free distribution, so I didn't buy it. Anyway, the book is so good. It flows very well, and the phrasing makes the book very easy to understand. In reference to the works of Venerable Ajahn Chah my friend, who is from Taiwan and does not like reading Buddhist Books in English said "I normally do not like reading Buddhist books in English because they are so hard to understand, but this, I love it, I can understand it perfectly." So anyway, I don't know if this article is of much help, given taht i do not consider myself qualified to really try and reiterate, interpret and/or critque these works. I just know that Many of my friends, in Buddhism, and I love the works of Venerable Ajahn Chah, and specifically this book. Amitabha!
