What a great way to finish this series! Beyond all of the other reviews, which I agree with, in this book Mark does and excellent job of explaining the scripture behind the story. The book of Revelation is not always the easiest to follow or understand. By following the scripture, this book makes it easier to understand how these events could come to pass. I have listened to many of Mark's podcasts, and he has made it clear that he is not implying that the scenario in these books is the exact way the events of Revelation will ultimately play out, the book did bring some better understanding to me. I found myself relating to Everett's feelings toward the end of the book, so it was really a great read. Not only do I highly recommend this book (after you have read the Days of Noah and the first three books of the Days of Elijah), but also Mark's other series.

This is another great book by Mark Goodwin. This feels like a genre bending twist from most of his work. I had thought of Mark's books as the Christian end of the 'prepper fiction' group. This goes beyond that. Goodwin's usual way of wrapping up his books with an invitation to download a free PDF of his other book on how to be prepared almost felt out of place here, as that's just not the type of book this is. Don't get me wrong, the series starts that way, and it's one of the best series I've read in the genre, but by the end book or two, he's moved to a much more expansive worldview.
It's exciting, and it's expansive, but it's also accessible. I read the whole book on one weekend, which is faster than I usually get through a book. If you have already read the first three books in this series, you already know you want to complete it, but if you haven't, I suggest you go back at least to the beginning of The Days of Elijah, maybe even the previous series The Days of Noah, and give it a shot. The author gets better with every series.

Let me start by saying, "I think this series is Great!". Mark Goodwin is a great author and Kevin Pierce always does a great job. Mark definitely has a way to pull you into the stories and connect with the characters.
Being a Gentile Messianic Jewish Believer in Yeshua(Jesus) since 2006, I connected a lot with this series. I do have some issues with the dietary, Sabbath, and Holyday Festivals opinions that don't match up with the Bible and the Messianic Jewish "denomination". And I also don't believe in the 180 year old Pre-trib rapture doctrine. I'm not looking to get into a debate, just stating so other can understand we can disagree with our brothers and sisters on points and still love and support one another. I so appreciate the absence of profanity and un-necessary sexual content.
With those thing being stated it was another great book from Mark. I am impatiently waiting for Mark's next series.

I don't think Mark Godwin can write a bad story. His words are so visual. I wasn't much of a reader, but my mom turned me onto "The Days of Noah" and I couldn't put the books down. I purchased my first gun, from reading this book. The one the FBI agent, Mr. Smith recommended. I then read, "The Days of Elijah" and when they meet Moses, I was just as excited and in awe as the characters in the book. "Seven Cows Ugly and Gaunt," was truly an eye opener of what the US could become if we don't bring God back into our lives. My husband thinks I'm crazy because I'm becoming a "Prepper!" There were times when I would have to remind myself that what was happening in the book, was not really happening in the world! Now I'm reading, "The Economic Collapse Chronicles" and they are just as exciting. I think if I had to do over, I would read the Chronicles first, Seven Cows Ugly and Gaunt, The days of Noah, and then the Days of Elijah last. Trust me when I say, YOU CAN NOT PUT THESE STORIES DOWN. They are fictional characters but the history of America and where it is going, as well as the Bible and God's promises to Believers and non believers is FACTUAL. The Days of Elijah takes you chapter by chapter of the Book of Revelations as well.

Excellent series! For those of you who don't know, this book, actually the whole series, is written from a Christian perspective with plenty of Scriptures to back up the story line. I also enjoyed all the prepping tips that were worked in throughout the series. I have read other books on the Rapture, but this is the first book that took me all the way through the tribulation to the point of Jesus' coming back to fight the battle of Armageddon. It was a great ending to an awesome series, but I am definitely going to miss the characters. However, I am eagerly looking forward to the new series that Mark Goodwin is working on.
