I don't even know where to start with this review, Tijan has done it again! Enemies is a remarkable story that once you start, it hard to put down. It's emotional, angsty, and packs so many punches that you're left with one heck of a book hang over it's not even funny! Dusty is looking to start over, new college, new life, and trying to forget her past. She wants to break free, but she can't seem to escape the one person who she despises, Stone Reeves. She knew moving to the town she did to go to school she would have to deal with him since he plays football there, but she never thought she would have to see him again, nor would he become such an impactful person in her life.What starts off as hateful texts and calls to get her step mother to stop bothering his parents, becomes so much more when more tragedy strikes Dusty again, and Stone is there to help her through it. These "enemies" become something more, not quite lovers, not quite friends, but Dusty needs Stone and Stone may not be the bad guy that she thought he was. I loved the back and forth between these two, and trying to figure out all that went down between them. As we slowly got to piece together their past, and their present it was amazing to see their story unfold, and it was sad to see everything that Dusty had gone through and goes through in this book. These two are meant to be together, but there is so much they have to work through both individually and together before anything will truly stick for them.I truly loved watching Dusty grow throughout this book from the girl who was very quiet and stuck to herself and seemed afraid of her own shadow, to the strong woman she was at the end of this story. Her strength is admirable, and I truly loved her character. Her ability to fight back with her roommates, her friends, and especially Stone was amazing and it made me love her even more. I also adored Stone, even when I wanted to hate him, and trust me, I wanted to hate him on multiple occasions in this book, but I just couldn't.Stone and Dusty's story is stunning and I loved every minute of it. I just wish it wouldn't have ended! If you're a lover of enemies to lovers romances, then I highly recommend picking up Enemies by Tijan today! Trust me, this is a book you need to read!

Stone Reeves and Dusty Phillips are enemies. The kind of enemies that shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near each other. So when they both end up in Texas, Stone the hottest pro football player in the league and Dusty a student at the nearby university, you know things are going to happen. From the time they were best friends until the time they had their falling out, not only Dusty and Stone, but their parents also seem to be enemies. So it’s only fitting that they wind up living very near each other in the college town Dusty moves to. She’s following her dream of being a marine biologist (you’ll find out more later). The lives Dusty and Stone live are polar opposites. He is the golden boy. The newest pro football phenom and Dusty has had more hardship in her life than anyone her age should ever have. So you know they’re going to run into each other. What you don’t know, and I won’t tell you is what happens when this two find their way back to each other. One hint. It’s not all sunshine and roses. I will say Stone Reeves is near perfect. Short dark hair, beautiful hazel eyes, perfectly kissable lips and the hard body of an athlete. Is there more of course there’s more! Chapters filled with sexual tension so thick, you can cut it with a knife. And damn Stone Reeves is sexy, especially when he’s angry. You might need to take a breather when Stone gets sexy. Tijan scores a touchdown with Enemies and as a book boyfriend Stone Reeves is one I will never forget. Five swoony stars for Stone Reeves and Enemies!!
