As an open-minded but rigorously scientific person, I was impressed by Jock’s evidential approach. As a five sensory individual, it opened my eyes to an entire world of experiences mostly unknown to me. After finishing the book I feel I now have a deep appreciation for and baseline understanding of mediumship.

    I started to read this book thinking that, after many other books about this topic I will find the general things mentioned in all the other books. But,with great surprise I found myself trapped in a race of reading more and more everyday,not able to stop till I finished it all! The style is direct,concise ,it is full of facts and details I didn't find in other books.The way of presenting all these strange facts is protective but clear, realistic,you feel the information penetrating your mind strong and clear. By the end of the book you already feel the need to read it again,to take it part by part,to take time to think and analyze all these marvelous events and you feel that there is an understanding ,a fog which is disipated slowly, leaving everything perfectly clear but with conditions! And here is the most important part from the author: the care ! Every moment the author shows his protective advice. Reading this book is an experience on its own!

    Becoming and End of Life Doula I knew that just knowledge about the existence of an afterlife and where we go when we die would not be enough. When helping someone transition spiritually you have to be prepared. Not long after deciding this I found Jock’s book Deadly Departed. I think our society has been conditioning us for far too long and by too many to ignore the Spiritual Foundation, knowledge and gifts that were meant to help empower each and every one of us. In turn this will help raise our frequency to levels that we has humans are capable. To do this we need to experience and understand the importance of the balance between good and evil, the light vs the dark, what happens when we allow our frequency to plummet and things that may cause that. I believe Jock has been gifted with wisdom and lost knowledge that can help anyone who is willing to remember and understand our Spiritual Authority and the power of the Mind/Body/Soul that goes along with that so that we will once again be able to defend ourselves and achieve what it was we were destined to do here on earth. I have never believed in randomness....even in my darkest hours dealing with personal tradgedy. I didn’t then and I don’t now things happen for a reason. Maybe even you finding this book. It is answering questions I didn’t even realize I had. May God bless and protect all who are inspired.

Rather than find the book scary, as some have suggested, I feel it is imperative that the dark side of this subject is not ignored. Is it not better to be aware of the dangers, in any situation, than to be totally oblivious and unprepared? I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the paranormal and certainly those interested in or currently practising mediumship. The book is written in a way that is easy to read and straight to the point, holding the interest of the reader.     The spiritual or esoteric market is a massive business. All sorts of services are offered (and demanded) and its book-market is world widely a hundreds of million Dollars business in which too often not anymore expertise is the authors faculty, but having seen 'a unicorn' is mostly sufficient to qualify in the eyes of an in that regard under-educated public interest in the esoteric - starting more and more to grow over the last couple of years.
    So to find ones way through endless shelves of esoteric bookstores and identify valuable, really valuable, books for different interest fields or demands is a difficult task and the reason i am writing this today.

    The Author Jock Brocas is President of the ASSMPI and known as relieable evidential medium...
    In 8 years of work the author has not only collected material from a lot of different sources and lets many renowned personalities of the spiritualistic scene offer their opinions to different, partially difficult, topics, he allows to look at different 'holy cows' of the spiritualistic movement and discusses them critically, what is very rare. But reasonable.
    Very much too often for example you find a lot of 'rainbow-bridge'-spiritualism, but much less about problematic states in which spiritual seekers slip into without their guilt, and which are undenieable and complicated conditions, about which we have to be educated. This book does that. And it does much more, it is a compendium of a thorough nature in different regards and it is always honest.
    Even somebody like me who has read everything in the last 30 years has found a lot of interesting passages I was really stunned by reading it - to once more finding out learning is never over and specifically not with this very versatile book! Give it a Go!
