Editorial Reviews

Review

"This could make a great difference in the lives of those who learn it."

-- Douglas F. Kelly

"Truth, clarity and simplicity are the great virtues of this God-exalting catechism for children. It was a great pleasure to watch our daughter learn these answers. As usual teaching a child great truths enriched our thinking and our own worship."

-- John Piper

Well done catechism and sound doctrine.

My 1yr old also loves the size and color. She constantly hands it to me as the book to read, even though she’s not really old enough for it as a book yet. She’ll sit down and read two-five question and answers, even without the picture book feel.

I love this little book. I am using it to teach some of the basics of Christianity to my 3 year old. The phrases are easy to memorize, and they will remain with her forever. The verses are a bit quirky, but I am solid in what I believe to begin with, so it is manageable (the verses would have to be looked up as they are not printed). Wonderful for teaching little ones biblical truths.

This book has been fantastic to go through with my kids! Not only does it give us a chance as a family to discuss these topics but it reminds my husband and I of the basics of our faith. You can tailor your answers to fit any age level. Our 5 year old twins love it as does our 12 year old. My 1st Book of Questions & Answers is a must get for a Christian family looking to grow the roots of your family's faith.

We LOVE this book. Our 3.5 year old has memorized over 30 questions and answers -- he gets an m&m for each one. The wording is a little different on some songs, but we've gotten CDs with songs to go with it. There's one by Eric Gilbert called Who What Why How Where When that is a fantastic companion CD to start with. Now that my son knows so many answers, it's amazing how handy it is when he asks theological questions to point him back to the truths he has already hidden in his heart. So grateful this book was written!

I love it. My Sunday school children are going to love this little paperback addition. It answers all the questions about God, that a believer needs to know. It comes recommended by Kirk Cameron.

This book will be great to use with my church kids, my sweet nephew, and one day, my grandkids. Great questions, and simple, but informative answers.

Very Strong. Easy to use. Beginning chapters are flawless. Begins to show a reformed bias as it wanders into doctrines like limited atonement and its application of the 10 Commandments. Nevertheless, it is easy to modify the answers to your own beliefs. Overall, a great tool for leading family devotions. If I was a five-point Calvinist I would give it five stars.

Here is a book for children (and adults)that answers questions simply from God, creation, ten commandments to salvation and heaven, also showing the Bible reference.
